The @guardian is missing the plot. Or perhaps it is a deliberate effort. Rarely have I see comedy which can actually be considered anything but narcissistic. And petty is also such a relative term.

Yes genius, dhoop sikai is a thing. My naani knew this back in the 80s. She'd tell us to take the kambal (blanket) out in the morning and spread it on the rooftop for dhoop sikai . This one time I ended up sleeping on the cozy warm blanket. Woke up looking like two-face Harvey Dent!

Placing pillows in sunlight once a week naturally sterilizes them with UV rays. This practice kills dust mites, bacteria, and molds, giving you a cleaner, healthier sleep.

We are on day 5 of a massive US and Israeli bombing campaign against Iran. The Supreme Leader has been assassinated, civilian casualties are mounting, and the region is on the brink. @IRIMFA_SPOX Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Esmail Bagayi speaks to @JeremyScahill Despite the assassination of Ayatollah Khamenei and his family, Iran is moving to select a new leader. A senior official confirms the Assembly of Experts is meeting to find a successor, even after their headquarters in Qom was targeted by "sinister" strikes. The human cost is devastating. Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Esmail Bagayi, reports that a school in Minab was hit, killing 181 children. He calls the campaign a "genocide" targeting the future generation of the country, not just military assets. Why is this happening? The US claims an "imminent threat," but Bagayi points out that Iran is 6,500 miles from US shores. He argues that even the Pentagon admitted there was no evidence Iran intended to attack the US before the bombing began. Diplomacy was reportedly "betrayed." Bagayi reveals that Iran was in active negotiations in Geneva and Muscat. They had reached significant progress on a deal, only for the US and Israel to launch attacks just days before the next round of technical talks. The messaging from Washington is a mess. While Marco Rubio says the US is acting on behalf of Israel, Trump claims the strikes are due to failing negotiations. Bagayi calls this "twisted logic" used to justify unprovoked aggression with US tax money. Is Iran looking for a way out? Despite Trump’s claims of back-channel requests, Bagayi is clear: no talks are happening. He asks, "Do you think any Iranian with common sense would reach out under these circumstances?" They are 100% focused on defense. This conflict is escalating fast, fueled by contradictory narratives and massive civilian loss.

@SanaSaeed I was thinking about this Sana. I do understand the need to present a more balanced and nuanced coverage. In the form of a transmission where thoughtful conversation is happening. any recommendations?

Al Jazeera English has been hosting Israeli and American genocide apologists - from Avi Mayer to Brian Mast - with zero pushback, allowing them to spew absolute nonsense to justify the bombing and slaughter of Americans.

.@AJArabic’s senior reporter Ghada Oueis has blocked me after I criticised her and her channel’s coverage of Lebanon and Iran. I have never come to know Al-Jazeera this way. There are so many great people there, but I never imagined things to reach this level.

It’s pretty disgusting, but not surprising, to watch Western journalists and media respond to the bombing of an elementary school full of little girls in Iran with detached curiosity asking “Why this target? What was nearby?” We have nearly two decades of televised, well documented war crimes in Gaza, Lebanon, Iraq, and Afghanistan showing that civilian infrastructure, including schools and hospitals, repeatedly ends up bombed in Western backed military campaigns and Israeli operations. This is not a mysterious anomaly that requires forensic speculation every single time it happens. It is a pattern. A well-established one.

@dwdavison @SanaSaeed You know who also did that? The Pakistani Army and Establishment. They have been offering Pakistan's natural resources to the US without any consultation with the people. Amongst other things.
