If this was @Nigel_Farage the left would be screaming from the rooftops. £231,306 claimed in expenses in a single year by a Green backbench MP whilst working people are being squeezed from every angle. Families are struggling with mortgages, rent, food and energy bills, yet Westminster continues to treat taxpayers’ money like an unlimited expense account. The political class have become completely detached from the people footing the bill.

Hundreds of illegal migrants crossed the Channel over the weekend. What is @AndyBurnhamGM response? Wave them in? Wring his hands in despair? We need to know

@Flashscorecom Could pep win a title, even a cup, with a normal team, without the open banks he's always used for success, could he do it for a Brighton Everton, Valencia Mallorca, Stuttgart, fergie did it with Aberdeen, which is massive to not just win titles domestic trophys but Euro finals

@anyotherleader1 Of course cafes were around lol. We just didn’t go to them. 🤷‍♀️ It’s not difficult to understand but, maybe you’re a little deficient in the old grey matter…

any other leader would be 20 points ahead
Not only are these people the most selfish generation are they also the most thick? Cafes or pubs weren't around until the year 2000 according to these idiots and their options were the equivalent to a medieval peasant. deluded morons
Elaine Craig@ElaineC54590844

This is exactly how life was, no eating out, no going for coffee, no restaurants and no holidays either. It’s just the way things were, there was no disposable cash and no ‘canned entertainment.’ The world of expectation is very different now.

@Seanchuckle Same, we regularly went for pub meals as a family & my parents went out while grandparents babysat. Special occasions would tend to be at restaurants. Far from well off.

This is just horseshit. I was young in the 80s/90s. We were not rich. There were fast food restaurants all over the place and while eating out was more of an occasional treat than it is now, very few people were strangers to a Happy Meal.
Innocent Bystander@supertolerant

I was young in the 80s/90s in the UK. I don’t remember my parents ever going out to eat, except when we were on holiday (in the UK). I don’t think they ever took me to a fast food restaurant, or ordered takeaway food. People today have no clue how working people lived. /1

Behold: the most impressive abuse of an MP’s expense account that I’ve seen. An average price of just under £2,000 PER ITEM. Just me, or is this taking the piss out of tax payers?

@seraphiminae You're missing the entire point. We can tell that person is FEMALE, so it literally doesnt matter what she "identifies" as.

Not a boomer. Gen X here. Wimpy or McDonald’s was a treat once a year or birthday party. Fish and chips wrapped in newspaper occasionally. Absolutely not an every day expense. I went to Pizza Hut for the first time aged 13. Calling for a takeaway? Forget it. 😂
Raven@raven_brah

Boomers seem to forget that fast food used to be a normal, everyday expense for them because it was affordable. You could get a burger easily on minimum wage, it wasn’t some fancy treat you had once a year as a reward for pulling yourself up by your bootstraps.

@sharrond62 It’s salary, your standing up for women doesn’t extend to mental health when you don’t like the person I see. You really are crass.
