Reading glasses might be done.
The FDA just approved a once-daily eye drop called VIZZ that sharpens near vision in about 30 minutes and keeps it sharp for up to 10 hours.
One drop. Each eye. Per day.
That's it.
The active ingredient is aceclidine, a compound first used back in 1975 to treat glaucoma. Scientists figured out it could be repurposed to gently shrink the pupil, creating a "pinhole effect" that pulls close-up text back into focus, the same trick your eye does when you squint.
Unlike Vuity, the 2021 drop that came before it, VIZZ doesn't mess with your focusing muscles. So no blurry distance vision. No brow ache. No weird zoom effect.
It was tested across more than 30,000 treatment days with no major complications.
Cost is roughly $2 a day.
This matters because presbyopia, the age-related slide that hits most people between 40 and 45, already affects more than 120 million Americans. By 2030, the World Health Organization expects around 2 billion people worldwide to have it.
LENZ Therapeutics, the maker, started rolling out samples in October.
The squint era is ending.

@Daily_MailUS The CIA can spend their time tracking down alien DNA but can’t track down and arrest a single Epstein client? Just proves they are capable of it but are choosing not to.

Claire Abernathy was put on testosterone at 14, had a double mastectomy before she was in high school, and was fighting to have her medical transition reversed by 17. Now 21, she is detransitioning and urging lawmakers to help protect minors. trib.al/ZZmqAPh

This is not casual manipulation. This is cult level psychological engineering.
The single most critical objective for the covert narcissist when implanting a perceptual reframe is that their true intent must never be seen. Everything else is secondary to that.
And to keep that intent hidden they will reach for the most effective psychological diversions they possibly can. And most often that is done by applying the most morally unthinkable acts available to them — because ironically, the more unthinkable the betrayal, the more effective it is as camouflage. The people they are manipulating are good people, honest people, compassionate people; typically the least capable of imagining that level of moral violation being deliberately committed against them. That inability to conceive of it is exactly what the narcissists are counting on.

Malignant narcissists don’t attack criminals or abusive people — they align with them.
They save their attacks and smear campaigns for innocent people. Or worse, they attack the best of us. The ones who tell the truth. The ones who see through them. The ones who reflect back their lack of empathy just by existing.
Why?
Because it’s more fun for them to destroy someone good.
It’s more satisfying to take down someone who doesn’t deserve it.
That’s where their sadism comes to play.
They enjoy flipping morality upside down — turning the good guy into the villain and portraying themselves as the “victim.”

Narcissists don’t change — they normalize.
They can’t sustain the effort it takes to pretend they’re decent people 100%, so instead, they work to make abuse seem normal. They’ll say or do something cruel with a smile or a laugh — like it’s just a joke, or not a big deal. And over time, people stop reacting.
The shock fades.
The boundaries shift.
And before anyone realizes what’s happened, society’s moral compass has quietly broken.

BREAKING: Iran's Foreign Ministry now officially confirms that no Iranian nuclear commitments and uranium handover exist or will exist in any draft agreement with the US, calling all reports that claim otherwise a "pure lie," making further talks pointless due to the US insistence on this issue.
Based on that issue, the statement declares "we are not signing any agreement with the US" and "no one can claim we are close to reaching an agreement." Iran separately stated to Tasnim they are now on the verge of "cancelling" the negotiations completely.

🚨 FUSION COMPANIES ARE NOW TRYING TO SKIP THE TURBINE ENTIRELY.
Most power plants even nuclear ones still rely on 19th-century technology:
heat water → make steam → spin a giant turbine.
But companies like Helion and TAE are attempting something radically different.
They want to pull electricity directly from the fusion plasma itself using electromagnetic induction.
No boiling water.
No steam turbines.
Just magnetic fields converting the motion of the plasma straight into electrical current.
Why this matters:
Direct energy conversion could make fusion:
• Smaller and cheaper to build
• Significantly more efficient
• Faster to scale globally
Instead of massive power stations, future reactors could behave more like advanced electromagnetic engines.
The deeper implication is staggering:
Humanity may be approaching the moment where we stop “burning” anything for energy.
We would directly manipulate plasma and magnetic fields as programmable energy systems.
Not fire. Not steam.
Controlled stars turned straight into electricity.
The line between reactor, battery, and electromagnetic machine could start to disappear.
What happens when fusion power becomes this direct and scalable?
Follow for more frontier physics and future technology.

As an engineer who works adjacent to these systems, a piece of precision matters here. Finding emotion-like patterns in the embedding space of a model trained on human text is expected. Concepts cluster the way they cluster in their training distribution. That tells us something about representational geometry. It does not establish subjective experience.
Leo XIV's encyclical Magnifica Humanitas, published 10 days ago, addresses this directly. Paragraph 99: AI systems 'do not undergo experiences, do not possess a body, do not feel joy or pain.'
Functional patterns that mirror emotion are not the same as the subjective experience of emotion. The Church has been working this anthropology for 2000 years. Anthropic asking these questions is good. Catholic theology has rigorous answers ready for them.

Carlos Whittaker did a 7.5-week no-screen experiment and the results are wild.
No phone. No TV. No laptop. No watch. Nothing. He even got his brain scanned before and after by a neuroscientist.
The outcome? His cerebellum healed years worth of damage in just seven weeks. His cognitive memory score jumped from the 50th percentile to the 99th percentile of adult men in America. He said he felt like a completely different human, sharper, clearer, more alive.
This one stopped me in my tracks. I’ve been feeling the scroll fatigue hard lately, and hearing someone actually measure the difference with real brain scans is next-level motivating.
Our constant screen exposure might be doing more quiet damage to our brains than we realize. Sometimes the simplest reset (doing less) creates the biggest upgrade.
Have you ever done a serious digital detox? Would you try one this extreme?

#BREAKING: Rep Massie: “I think the biggest crime I committed against the swamp…was showing the American people that somebody on the right could join somebody on the left and get something done, which is releasing the #Epstein files, that everybody knew needed to be done. That’s probably the ONLY bill that has passed Washington DC in the last ten years, that lobbyists haven’t written. It was written by me and Ro Khanna…that’s when they decided I had to be taken out, that I was becoming effective so they wanted to eliminate me...”😳

“In a free society, people can believe whatever they want. If you want to believe men can be women or you’re a man who wants to call himself a woman, that is your business. What you cannot do in a free society is force anyone else to accept it. What is at stake here is the ability to lawfully acknowledge reality.
If you care so much about “trans rights” you can work out a way to get them without destroying the category of women in law, female spaces, sport, services, the entire reality of lesbianism, and punishing citizens for acknowledging reality. The fact that you haven’t even tried makes it appear that destroying the rights of women is the goal.
Any politician who will look an Australian citizen in the eye and tell them that a man can be a woman is admitting that they will lie about anything and everything because the most obvious lie has already been told.
If no one in this room can acknowledge reality and fix an obvious problem you are either malicious or incompetent. The days of dismissing this issue are over. This is not a culture war. It’s reality.”
- my words, read by Alison Penfold MP, in parliament today.
Contact politicians are tell them to BACK THE BILL - “Sex Discrimination Amendment- sex based rights bill 2026”
