@AppyOrtho It was a bioweapon. My wife got hit hard from Covid despite being the far healthier half of the couple. I credit my thinking I had a sinus infection and chain using Excedrin with aspirin as helping me, not anything crunchy.

I also hate how people assume if you’re sick it’s because you’re eating processed foods and popping pharmaceuticals. Look, I’ve been homebirthing, herbal tea growing, raw milk maxing, vax refusing since before many of you were born. That’s not why I’m sick.

One of the worst qualities of the “right” is claiming that COVID was just a cold and that the general health of the American population didn’t go through the floor post COVID. There’s a middle ground between masking and shutting things down and pretending nothing happened.

@TheWMReview @NovusOrdoWatch Still no picture of the supposed pachamama. With the same level of fantasy one could claim that the first picture shows an Islamic prayer.

@RadMothering Yeah, it's frustrating. The US has essentially de facto universal health care for low income...but only for things like hospital care/ERs. So it causes pushes people to either get care at places they shouldn't (ERs for little things) or not get earlier care when they should have

@BreeSolstad I suspect he was among the dead who were raised to walk around Jerusalem to scold the Jews. After that, would he have gone back into his grave (would any of them have?) or would they be assumed into heaven as well?

@B3901293 @metathomist You're a damned fool. A damned pagan fool. And illiterate. And incapable of any good faith, because you're entire identity is built on being willfully ignorant. Repent before you realize "purgatory" is forever.

Think about this for a second: Our most advanced form of electrical generation -- nuclear power -- does so by... ...boiling water to produce steam to drive a turbine. Nuclear power plants are essentially steam engines.

@B3901293 @metathomist Well, yeah, and worship is to bow, kneel or lay prostrate before someone or something to show honor or respect. But the Catholic bait and switch doesn't work when we use the clear meaning of the Bible.

@AppyOrtho Growing up, I "learned" from Prot family that the reason Catholics eat fish on Fridays during Lent was because Greek fishermen pressured the Pope to help their declining sales. Yes, they actually believed that.

@B3901293 Do you know how much it would cost to retrofit every single plane? The shareholders would revolt.

@DHiddenness Yeah, I was young and thought SP was amazing. Never understood why older folks called him a modernist. I learned. It’s painful, especially when all your clerical mentors gaslight their parishes over TC.

@B3901293 Yeah. Being the age I am, I get weird feelings when people today look back on JPII and B16 as paragons of orthodoxy. B16 especially came across as a space cadet who was thinking in some other galaxy where blue to you might not be blue to me.

Seriously. Prevost was ordained in 82 and spent much of the 80's and 90's in Peru. He "got along" with everybody well enough to be elected Prior General, then made bishop, prefect and cardinal. This photo is in no way surprising. I think maybe people who were confirmed 7 or 8 years ago have no idea how much ecumenical craziness there was in the 80's and 90's, and that apparently pales compared to the 70's. Even when I arrived, ordinary parishes were holding Seder meals and inviting Buddhists over to sing from the Taizé hymnal. I suspect if one were to dig with gusto, you could find a lot more and worse that went on in Prevost's life and career. That's where he was and who he was surrounded with. I'm just constantly surprised that everyone is so surprised. And yeah, I hope he confessed this and whatever else. I confessed all the crazy shit those idiots pastors conned me into.
