@TheWarOwl I'm a little sad the light posts on A are removed, loved going up there one round a game because nobody expects it. Otherwise the map looks really good. I lowkey hated the Z window so im glad to see it gone

Cache is back in CS2, and this is exactly how you make a Counter-Strike map. They completely remade the map from the ground up, absolutely nothing remains from the version from the workshop. Gameplay on the new cache is very clean and smooth without too much physical or visual clutter. Many of the more complicated props have been replaced with simple boxes, such as the box on forklift in A site. There are a few clipping issues with props and walls, but I imagine these will get sorted out over time. The visual fidelity is amazing without sacrificing performance. This will be a very easy map to learn and play, as there isn't very much complexity at all. Many of the features we all kinda hated are gone, such as the window at Z connector mid, new box, and the railing at highway. If they remove a map for this, it should be a simple 4 square map, otherwise the map pool is going to get too filled with easy maps. Remember when we got like... NO updates. Now I'm getting exhausted covering all of this week after week. THANK GOODNESS.

@Dreamboum My biggest complaint with re2make was having MR X show up in the A scenario. If they at least waited until the B scenario like the OG it would have made it more unique. Instead B is just A again with minor changes.

RE2R is not as bad as RE3R but it absolutely failed in a lot of areas to live up to the original. I still enjoyed it for what it was but man, just thinking about how the intro of the original was so incredible and they turned the trek to the RPD into a 10 second trot is absurd

@TheMOMO11496 @viralaffection The vita plays really well. I played through the RE trilogy on my PSP back in the day with the PS1 classics and had no issues (except for a softlock bug that can occur in RE3 specifically when playing on PSP)

@viralaffection How were the controls on the Vita? I streamed the PS port through the Portal and aside from a few laggy moments (connection problems on my end) it ran good.

@thinknuofficial @TeamAPS I'd love to see Konami go back and try to do something akin to master rule 4 and slow the game down. I think if they found a good way to limit the extra deck spam, the game could slow down enough to bring in new casual players. Or do the unthinkable and do a full reset

@TeamAPS Playing older formats like Edison is so fascinating because it opens up so many ideas about what the game could have been with a certain level of restraint

I love Yugioh to death so it's always bittersweet when I'm reminded just how many people used to play this game and stopped because of the power creep and complexity. I've met countless folks over the years and this is so often their story with the game :(

@SFproductions_1 Reminds me of when I bought the RE:Code Veronica PS3 port the day it dropped and it took over 24 hours to download. Part of that was also due to my awful internet at the time though.

@ChoctopusYT If you're gonna play original RE3 before R3make then you should play original 2 before original 3. There's a couple of set pieces that benefit from playing original 2 first since the games happen during roughly the same time.

There's nothing wrong with being a purist but, personally, I think it's important to be flexible. People enjoy things in different ways. I would never steer someone away from trying a game/franchise I love because there's a modern remake. Let people jump in where they feel comfortable and start the conversation from there. I just started making my way through the Resident Evil franchise for the first time and decided I'm going to do REmake -> RE2make -> RE3 -> RE3make -> RE4make (I own/played OG4) If I enjoy them, I'll definitely want to go back and give OG RE and RE2 a shot.

Turned on my 3DS for the first time in over 8 years. Only taking two games for the trip: Super Mario 64 DS and Dragon Ball Origins. Just DS games to play on the 3DS. Maybe I'll finally beat Origins 😂

@teyrns I think it started with RE2make, it boosted the series after 7 revitalized it and with modern day social media, Leon alone had his own cult following on Tik Tok for people that never touched the games.

@Gothalion The Steam version has been patched and is a pretty solid way to play now, although DS is still superior. You also can't forget the initial mobile port that the Steam version was built off.

My Megaman tier list. A great Megaman game means different things to different people. What it means to me is: 1. Music 2. Robot Master roster (cool but simple ones like Snake or Skull are preferred) 3. Little improvements like Slide or power shot. In that order.
