@joachmtrier i feel like its just not worth it for most people. i dont think people go back to re-read 99% of their comics so you’d just be stuck with download times and limited space on your phone/whatever. online readers are way more convenient

@yassifiedaloy i use storygraph and goodreads both but really the only thing storygraph has going for it are the stats. everything else you can do on goodreads as well and it’s mostly better/easier. the fact you can’t comment on reviews on storygraph is enough to make the app kinda useless.

Amazon has owned what is essentially the Letterboxd for reading for like 15 years and has no interest in making it good. clunky search and rating system. An app that looks you dead in the eye and tells you Crime and Punishment came out in 2002.

@Toadsanime i had one of those ribbon wands and my dad broke it and threw it away because i played with it instead of putting away my dolls when i was 3 or 4. he doesnt even remember the toy or yelling at me about it, but it’s literally the only real memory i have of our old house

My father destroyed my first ever razer deathadder mouse that I bought for myself because I was playing video games and he didnt like that. He threw it against the wall, broke into like 5 pieces. I was 18 at that time I think, shortly after that I stopped sleeping at home and gradually avoided my family. I basically treated my family home as a hotel that I sometimes slept at. You want to lose contact with your children - this is a great playbook
