Wasn’t GST supposed to be a simpler tax structure?

Real Estate is one of the most heavily taxed sectors in India. But the GST Council now wants to levy a steep tax on FSI charges as well. That plan should be dumped @FinMinIndia On the contrary we should be lowering GST on commodities like cement that are used in real estate
