The proof-of-work consensus mechanism, which Bitcoin uses, is a revolutionary way to secure the network. Ok - everyone - what’s different since the last #Bitcoin halving? 🥑 A Quick Review 🐇: 💎 Bitcoin ETFs 📈 All Time High before halving 🏦 Institutions holding Bitcoin 🌎 Countries using Bitcoin Last halving 4 years ago - feels like a lifetime ago… so much has changed and I expect that each of these will have a massive impact on price and adoption. Also huge is that there is a major protocol launching on Bitcoin at the halving which uses Bitcoin to allow users to create tokens. This has never happened on a halving before and it’s highly anticipated. Runes are coming and I think many Bitcoiners underestimate the potential of Runes to onboard new users, get people running nodes, and bring innovation and use cases from other chains to Bitcoin native (example: stablecoins). I expect that runes will far surpass ordinals and become the dominant protocol on Bitcoin. Soon most of the transactions and fees on Bitcoin will be for Runes.
