This what they are going to do with Bitcoin over the next 40 years. They need to pump the asset side of the equation without increasing the cost of living.

You can’t explain Bitcoin to someone who doesn’t understand money in the first place. No awareness of the problem = zero appreciation for the solution. That’s why most people dismiss bitcoin.

@DonMiami3 The stated goal is to depopulate 90% of the ‘useless eaters’ by 2030, and this is just a part of their operation to destroy any industry that serves the 90%.

Bitcoin has begun its recovery against Gold. For the first time in almost a year it has posted two consecutive months of outperformance. Up 17.54% in the last 30 days alone. It appears the 2nd of March was the bottom. Long way to go but the reversal is underway. Very bullish.

@HialeahHodl @hillery_dan I think it’s really driven by demand more south than the overall market interest rate rates, although interest rates will certainly play a part on STRC’s demand

@hillery_dan Wouldn’t STRC adjust down as the rates decrease? Thats why I like STRD, STRK long term. Especially near the likely bottom if a cycle.

When interest rates fall to 2.5%, it will be very productive to borrow money and invest in STRC.

JUST IN: 🇺🇸 US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth says the US should secure a strategic advantage in Bitcoin and that he's a "long enthusiast" of BTC.

@Techgaged_news @HodlMagoo I would agree. I’m grateful for more time to buy cheap Bitcoin. I expect that the halving combined with an even more mature STRC will result in some serious gains around that timeframe.

Bitcoin is still in a bear market. You should buy in bear markets.

@comic @federico_rivi The point of a ponzi is that the returns only come from the next investor, right? If Bitcoin were to go up in value, that would mean MSTR theoretically goes up in value and it wouldn’t be from someone else paying in like a ponzi requires. Obviously, there’s more to it than that.

Bitcoin treasury companies are quite literally a Ponzi scheme. The only mechanism by which these companies "create value" for existing shareholders is issuing new equity at a premium over NAV and using the proceeds to buy more bitcoin. The "yield" Saylor and his colleagues advertise isn't yield in any meaningful sense: it's the premium new shareholders pay over NAV, redistributed across existing holders as "BTC per share" growth. Returns to existing holders come directly from capital contributed by new entrants. Calling this "arbitrage between the fiat present and the hyperbitcoinized future" is a convenient framing for the CEO of a treasury company. What's being sold as arbitrage is no more than a leveraged bet. The model only works while the premium exists. The premium only exists while believers keep buying. Own the asset, not the wrapper.

@BitcoinRachy My kids have Bitcoin via BITB in a custodial IRA and I suspect it will be worth a solid chunk by the time they are in college and/or house hunting.

I’m debating buying some spot BTC here for my kids college funds. Buy now or wait for a dip?
