@theonevortex No, the door analogy is good, it helps to explain the issue. You claim that some thieves can break the door & with it cause extra damage, so it's better to keep it unlocked. It is a strategy but only useful for thieves, it does not help me.

I lock my doors. I filter spam emails. I use antivirus. I run knots with bip110 on my node. If you think I should tear any of that down because “spam still gets through,” you’re either a fool, a spammer, or a thief. I don’t make life easy for parasites.

@bitcoin_eagle Thanks for confirming my point. You go & pay miners extra to include your spam. You don't get a free ride using OP_RETURN. I filter emails not to remove spam 100%, but to prevent every spam from ending up in my inbox.

Literally none of those first 3 things have anything to do with decentralized blockchain networks and are poor analogies that make zero sense in the non physical world of code and networks. If you think you can prevent spam then you are either a fool or a troll. You cannot prevent embedding data into transactions on a decentralized permissionless censorship resistant network. Learn this.

Former Biden national security adviser Jake Sullivan: Just a few days before the US bombed Iran, the Iranians presented a proposal that greatly contributed to solving the nuclear problem. However, the American side simply didn't understand what they were being offered.

The 15-point plan that Baboon of Barbaria's minions will present to Iran - assuming it is real, as leaked by a death cult TV channel - is already D.O.A. It’s an imposed capitulation. Compare it with Iran’s top demands: Closure of ALL US military bases in the Gulf; guarantee of no more wars; end of war on Hezbollah; lifting of ALL sanctions; war damage reparations; a new order in the Strait of Hormuz (already in effect: collecting fees just like Egypt in Suez); missile program intact. Conclusion: the infernal escalation machine will keep rolling.

@shanaka86 Nonsense. Global coalition of 40 countries should assume control of systemtically important piece of geography for the planet. Being held hostage by lunatic terrorists cannot be the way forward. They've lost the responsibility imbued upon them. They lost right to that land.

BREAKING: The Strait of Hormuz is no longer closed. It is no longer open. It is something the world has never seen before: a permissioned corridor run by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, priced at $2 million per vessel, payable in yuan. Three ships transited in the last 24 hours. Three. Out of a pre-war average of 60 per day. Total throughput: 310,000 deadweight tonnes. Three percent of normal. Four hundred vessels are waiting outside the strait right now. One hundred and fifty tankers. One hundred and twenty bulk carriers. One hundred and thirty others. Waiting for permission from the IRGC Navy to enter a 5-nautical-mile channel between Larak and Qeshm islands inside Iranian territorial waters. This is how the gate works. A vessel operator contacts approved intermediaries with IRGC connections, submitting full documentation: IMO number, ownership chain, cargo manifest, destination, crew list. The intermediaries forward the package to the IRGC Navy’s Hormozgan Provincial Command for sanctions screening, cargo alignment checks that prioritise oil over all other commodities, and geopolitical vetting. The toll is approximately $2 million per tanker. For a VLCC carrying 2 million barrels, that is $1 per barrel. Preferred currency: yuan. If the vessel passes, the IRGC issues a clearance code and route instructions. Upon approach, VHF radio hail, AIS verification, patrol boat escort. One ship at a time. Through the narrowest channel of the most important waterway on Earth. Iranian crude is still flowing. Approximately 1.1 to 1.5 million barrels per day, mostly to China, at near pre-war levels. Iran’s own oil transits the strait it controls. The blockade applies to everyone else. Iran is simultaneously the gatekeeper and the primary beneficiary. The toll funds the IRGC. The IRGC maintains the gate. The gate generates the toll. The circle is self-sustaining. Now look at what is NOT transiting. Fertiliser. Gulf nations supply 49 percent of the world’s exported urea. Ammonia requires the natural gas that Qatar declared Force Majeure on and that Iranian strikes disrupted at South Pars. Effectively zero fertiliser vessels have received approval through the permissioned corridor. The IRGC is prioritising oil because oil generates revenue. Fertiliser does not. The molecules that feed four billion people are trapped behind a gate that only opens for molecules that fund the gatekeeper. The yuan preference is the structural shift that outlasts the war. Every tanker that pays in yuan instead of dollars establishes a precedent. Every precedent weakens the petrodollar architecture that has governed energy trade since 1974. The IRGC is not just blocking a strait. It is building an alternative payment rail under live fire. The $2 million toll in yuan is not a fee. It is a proof of concept for a post-dollar energy settlement system, stress-tested in the most extreme conditions imaginable: a three-front war with the world’s largest military. The world’s central banks are trapped by the same strait: the Fed cannot cut, the ECB is hiking, the BOJ is tightening. Six countries are rationing fuel. Japan’s 10-year yield hit a 27-year high. Slovenia has QR codes at the pump. South Korea is barring government vehicles one day per week. And behind all of it, 400 ships wait outside a 5-nautical-mile channel for a clearance code from the IRGC Navy, payable in a currency that is not the dollar. Twenty percent of the world’s oil supply. Controlled by a VHF radio call and a yuan transfer. The strait did not close. It changed ownership. open.substack.com/pub/shanakaans…

@DD_Geopolitics Same nonsense scheme they tried in Ukraine. First a ceasefire so they can rearm and reposition, then fake negotiations to kill time till te next attack — all of it sprinkled with an economic carrot. One would have to be stupid to fall for this.

🇺🇸🇮🇱🇮🇷 USA BEGGING FOR A CEASEFIRE? Israel's Channel 12 has published the U.S. 15-point plan to end the war with Iran. 1. Removal of all sanctions on Iran. 2. US assistance in advancing and developing a civilian nuclear project (electricity generation). 3. Removal of the threat of sanctions being reimposed. 4. Iran’s nuclear programme is frozen under a defined framework. 5. Enriched uranium to remain, but under supervision and agreed limits. 6. Missile programme to be addressed at a later stage, with limits on quantity and range. 7. Use of nuclear programmes restricted to civilian/defensive purposes only. 8. Development of existing nuclear capabilities halted. 9. No further expansion of enrichment capabilities. 10. No production of weapons-grade nuclear material on Iranian soil. 11. All enriched material to be handed over to the IAEA within an agreed timeline. 12. Natanz, Isfahan and Fordow to be taken out of use (destroyed). 13. International monitoring and verification mechanisms enforced. 14. Gradual implementation tied to compliance. 15.Additional regional and security understandings between the parties. The proposed mechanism: a one-month ceasefire brokered by Pakistan, Egypt, and Turkey, during which negotiations would take place. A peace summit in Islamabad is being discussed for as early as Thursday. Iran has not agreed to attend.

⚡️Somebody inside Iran just offered something real to stop the next phase. That is what Trump is signaling. “Present.” “Worth a tremendous amount of money.” “We are dealing with the right people.” That language points to a material concession tied to energy flow, money, or Hormuz access, not vague diplomatic niceties. Reuters reported Trump explicitly linked the concession to energy and the Strait of Hormuz, and said the U.S. was finally talking to “the right people” in Iran. My real read is that an actual power center inside the regime is trying to buy survival before Washington resumes the harsher layer of coercion. Reuters reported the U.S. pause on strikes against Iranian energy infrastructure, and separate reporting said Washington has been trying to identify who in Tehran can actually deliver terms, with parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf seen as a more meaningful channel than the usual diplomatic front. This is bargaining under visible duress. Trump thinks he has enough leverage to force concessions, so he is publicly rewarding the cooperative faction while keeping the bombing threat in the room. The five day pause tells Tehran there is still a door. The public praise tells Tehran that useful concessions get immediate economic relief. The market heard that message and crude sold off because traders started pricing a lower chance of a prolonged successful Iranian chokehold over Hormuz. The deepest layer is internal. Trump is speaking past the official Iranian line and into the regime itself. He is telling every faction inside Tehran that somebody already came forward with something valuable, the U.S. knows it, and the people who keep offering tangible concessions will decide whether the state gets a survivable landing or another round of punishment. That is why the wording sounds so transactional. He is pricing obedience in public. So here is what I think: A serious Iranian faction just paid an entry fee for an exit. Trump knows it. The market knows it. The rest of the regime is now being forced to choose whether to join that line or get dragged into the next rung of escalation.
