Diabetes remains a major risk factor! Published now in @CircAHA, we found a higher risk of adverse CV events in pts with DM and LM dz. Moreover, compared with CABG, PCI resulted in no difference in the risk of death, but there were key differences for nonfatal events.

Incredible night celebrating Dr Williams' indelible contributions to Intv Cardiology. The 4th person to do PCI in the US... @BWHIntCard @PinakShahMD @JDawnAbbott1 @DaveGrossMDPhD @BrianBergmark @kevinjamescroce @BrighamWomens @ProfSBK3

Congratulations to @Ajar_Kochar @BrianBergmark and the entire Brigham and Women’s team on their first cases with the HyperVue Imaging System! We look forward to bringing DeepOCT+NIRS to more patients, physicians, and cath labs! @kevinjamescroce @DaveGrossMDPhD @ZaidAlMarzooq

Investigators from @SmithBIDMC worked with @US_FDA investigators to apply state-of-the-science methods to examine the impact of Impella on outcomes in myocardial infarction patients with shock. The conclusions might surprise you. jamanetwork.com/journals/jamac…

Excited to share our new study now in @JAMACardio, highlighting outcomes in pts with left main disease and acute coronary syndrome after PCI vs CABG. Risk of 5-yr death similar, but tradeoffs for nonfatal events. Huge thanks to @BrianBergmark and Dr. Sabatine! @TIMIStudyGroup
