Matt Hancock tells the Commons: “The number of vaccinations happening in Bolton right now is phenomenal - tens of thousands every single day”. Which sounded a lot for a population of less than 300,000 people and, well, here’s the official data for Bolton....

@JuliaHB1 With less than 1,000 deaths from covid in total, I'd say the Australian lockdowns and border closures are doing a superb job. Locking down and being more stringent has meant less than 30 in NZ. Your views and rabble-raising are abhorrent @JuliaHB1

Will this be the day when Boris Johnson fans finally wake up to the reality that he is woefully unfit for office and that he is a danger to them and their families?

Customers MUST be able to be served at the bar from june 21st, it’s the business model many Pubs, Bars, nightclubs and hotels rely on to turn a profit. It’s inconceivable that table service remains in 5 weeks, when Costa, McDonald’s and so on , have been doing it throughout.

We stayed at home, we missed seeing our family and friends, millions have seen their livelihoods destroyed, we wore face masks and got the vaccine. We did what we were told to do. Enough is enough. This ends on 21 June. For good. @talkRADIO

Ministers say the Indian variant could delay reopening on June 21. Julia: “20m of the most vulnerable have had two jabs and we’re now told it isn’t enough. It’s time to get back to normal. No masks or social distancing, enjoying life and the risks that come with that” @JuliaHB1

This is actually a very serious issue. It is a demonstration of why regulatory disputes are not just technicalities but actually transform people's lives. thetimes.co.uk/article/brexit…

@B_Beeching @stroppypanda @DavidDavisMP First of all you have no idea what I took into account. What i did take into account was having to pay for yet another layer of bureaucracy. Having worked in an EU regulated industry for over 30 year I think I can talk with some authority.

@stroppypanda @B_Beeching @DavidDavisMP None story. If we were still in the EU then the people of England, Scotland and Wales won’t be able to use the drug as it’s the EU who have not approved it. DOH!. So another good reason to leave.....

PM: “If Indian variant is significantly more transmissible we are likely to face some hard choices." NO. It's not a hard choice. We are leaving lockdown. End of story.

▪️29 UK Covid deaths in the past 24 hours (deaths within 28 days of a positive test). ▪️450 UK cancer deaths in the past 24 hours (on average). ▪️450 UK heart / circulatory disease deaths in the past 24 hours (on average). But guess which one gets the most media coverage?

Great news that the European Parliament has voted overwhelmingly in favour of our zero tariffs, zero quotas Trade and Cooperation Agreement. Now is the time to look forward to a new relationship with the EU and a more Global Britain.

@JamesMelville Lockdowns aren’t about them though. They are about protecting others. More people should remember that
