It has now been three months since my father, Mohammad Bakhsh Sajidi, and my two uncles, Rafeeq Baloch and Naeem Sajidi, were forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces, as a part of a systematic policy of collective punishment. On 2 February 2026, they were abducted by Pakistani forces and forcibly disappeared. All three are nearly 70 years old and suffer from diabetes, high blood pressure, and other age-related health conditions. It is a broader pattern in Balochistan, where families are collectively targeted to instill fear and suppress dissent. Enforced disappearance is a grave violation of international human rights law, and when used as a tool of collective punishment, it becomes an even more egregious crime. I urgently call upon the UN Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances (@WGEID), the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (@OHCHR), Amnesty International @amnesty @amnestysasia , Human Rights Watch @hrw , the International Commission of Jurists (@ICJ_org), Front Line Defenders @FrontLineHRD, and all relevant human rights bodies to take immediate notice and hold Pakistan accountable for such crimes.

Enforced Disappearance of Khadija Baloch Date: 21 April 2026 PAANK strongly condemns the enforced disappearance of Khadija Baloch, daughter of Pir Jan and widow of Hasil. She was taken by Frontier Corps, Military Intelligence (MI), along with the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), from the BMC Hostel in Quetta. Khadija Baloch, a BS Nursing student in her 7th semester and a resident of Hironak, Kech, was pursuing her education when she was subjected to this act. The abduction of a student; particularly a woman striving for professional education, raises serious human rights concerns. The ongoing pattern of enforced disappearances in Balochistan is deeply alarming and unacceptable. Such actions violate fundamental human rights and place victims at grave risk of torture and other abuses. PAANK urges the authorities to immediately disclose Khadija Baloch’s whereabouts and ensure her safe release. We also call on national and international human rights organizations to take urgent notice of this case and hold those responsible accountable. #EndEnforcedDisappearances
