Earlier today, I visited several locations in Forest Hills and Rego Park that were targeted with hateful vandalism. What I saw was disgusting beyond description. There is zero tolerance for hate in our city, and those responsible must be held accountable.

Swastikas. Nazi slogans. Spray painted on synagogues, homes, community centers—even a pre-k—today in the neighborhood of Rego Park, Queens. In case the message wasn’t clear enough, they even defaced the cornerstone of a synagogue building that is dedicated to survivors of Kristallnacht. This is vile and indefensible. We need everyone to unite against this rising bigotry.
