My biggest improvements in my trading career came from basically doing the exact opposite of what it commonly taught • I never backtest - raw data with almost infinite variables is virtually impossible to extra meaningful conclusions from • I never size universally - I size exponentially on my best setups • when I’m in a rough patch I size up and take less trades instead of sizing down • I don’t stick to just 1 market/instrument • I use two completely opposite trading styles (swing/scalp) • I never look at my stats aside from PnL/profit per month The information that’s out there on trading isn’t likely intentionally bad or misleading but I strongly suggest everyone being skeptical of what they watch/read
