@JordanTHFCFFC @OzzyAussieOtty No idea! But with fuel costs the way they are, they ain’t coming to Perth. Don’t have a Premier that’s in to it like Manalauskis

@Badgingarra2 @OzzyAussieOtty How many of those 40,000 are gonna still be doing that in 3 years time? The novelty wears off after a while

@OzzyAussieOtty @Badgingarra2 Ideally it'd be just Optus and the WACA so that we could actually have a Gather Round with every game in 1 location

@agsirr_sirr @au_sport I went to Brizzy v Pies at GABBA, and there was only 35k there. Lowest Pies crowd all year so far

@Badgingarra2 @au_sport The Perth crowd was fantastic. Thought both Marvel games should have got 35k, Adelaide 45-46k. Didn't realise the capacity at UTAS has reduced due to construction so 8k at Hawks game reasonable. Brissy could have got 3-4k more perhaps.

It's safe to say Will Hayes enjoyed his first Anzac Day experience. Here's what the young West Aussie had to say after the game! buff.ly/zb9qj8q

@agsirr_sirr @au_sport 54,100 at Optus is a pretty decent crowd, Brizzy is one that seems to have dropped off for mine

Random thought but pretty cool that we’re arguably watching three clubs’ greatest ever players active at the same time in Toby Greene, Scott Pendlebury and Marcus Bontempelli. Idk if Dees fans would consider Max Gawn, but that would be 4.

An embarrassing Essendon performance today. Collingwood had not scored 100+ points in their last 17 games and the Bombers conceded 20.17.137 and lost by 77 points. The largest ANZAC Day margin, since the first game was played 31-years ago! #AFLDonsPies

Nobody really understand the PRRT, including the poster. There is no depreciation of capital over a number of years. There is an instant right off of capital. There are many other write offs, other than capital and operating. The PRRT raised $1.5B last year, a lot less than the royalty payers. The PRRT is a wet lettuce tax, design by the industry and incompetent politicians.

Here we go again. This guy is smart enough to know, so it must be dishonest. First a 400% whopper. Chevron has sold something like $80 billion of gas, not $300 billion. And no, they don't pay royalties because they are in Commonwealth waters and pay the PRRT. The PRRT is a 40/60 revenue share with the Commonwealth once assets are depreciated. They paid $3.5 billion in company tax in 2023/24 according to the ATO.
Dr Colin Hughes@drcwhos

Enough is enough @Chevron sold $300billion of gas from Australia and paid no royalties @stephhodginsmay Tax the gas @Greens

David Pocock would have to be my favourite politician.. So genuine, so on the money, so sensible, so easy to listen to, so calm, no freaking crap, lots of common sense, anyone else agrees with this assumption 👍

Don’t see much outcry about St Kilda appealing the Collard decision compared to when Adelaide did. Also don’t see much outcry regarding the reasoning, mental health was dismissed as by many, plenty quiet now despite a second offence though. Wonder why?

Every single step of this Collard situation has been a PR balls-up and the Appeal’s Board’s solution was to drop napalm on it? This is an insane statement to have on the official AFL record? I don’t even know what the league does today. Total shit show now.

@Badgingarra2 That's because the iron ore is highly profitable so can pay a royalty up front and of significant size. Costs BHP around $17.29 USD all up to produce a tonne of iron which is sold for $105 USD. PRRT is designed for marginal resources with high capital costs upfront.

Happy to help clarify that foreign gas companies do pay tax. In 2023/24 (latest ATO figures) they had profits of $26 Bn, and tax of $7.5 Bn, and they paid PRRT of $1.5 Bn. And Queensland royalties as well. It is easy to refute the li[n]e we "don't tax foreign gas companies". ato.gov.au/businesses-and…
Kon Karapanagiotidis@Kon__K

Utterly shameful, 160,000 Australians to be cut off the #NDIS, with $15 billion to be cut by 2030 from its annual projected budget. While we don’t tax foreign gas companies which would raise at least $17-$18 billion annually with a 25% levy. Help it make sense!
