The Peripheral Prize at the BSET Annual Meeting was won by Meiling MacDonald-Nethercott of Glenfield Hospital, University Hospitals of Leicester who presented the abstract Feasibility phase of Platelet Research in Optimising Response in Treatment for Angioplasty (PRiORiTY) Study.

I’m a British Bangladeshi working class doctor who works in predominantly British Bangladeshi and/or working class communities. My work fundamentally was based on representation. @michaelcsiah Stents do work in SFA territory. The issue is planning, patient counselling, vessel prep and the use of an appropriate stent.

Please don’t do this for claudication and then work the patient up for “neuropathy” in a non diabetic for 2 weeks after the duplex you did shows stent occlusion. #psa #vascular

One has to be smart not to lose the endo option if the graft or endarterectomy zone thrombose. Try not to burn bridges when using open or endo techniques.

The calcium within the wall will always remain with IVL but the compliance of the artery improves markedly. I did check the post IVL angioplasty balloon in two different angles (orthogonal) to ensure luminal gain.
