The Order Paper for Parliament is out, and the criminal regime is hell-bent on passing the UPDF Amendment Act on Tuesday next week! Although the Bill contains other provisions, the most repressive provisions are those related to the trial of civilians in military courts. Museveni who has lost popular support and legitimacy wants to take civilians back to military courts, because that is a tool he has used for many years to persecute those who oppose his regime of blood. You all remember that recently, the Supreme Court decided that it is unconstitutional for civilians to be tried in military courts, except under very exceptional circumstances. According to accepted international standards, exceptional circumstances only arise when the ordinary courts are unable to handle a particular matter and military expertise is needed. But now, Museveni wants to take back civilians to these kangaroo courts for all manner of alleged offences including putting on attire that resembles that of the military or allegedly being found in possession of ammunition! But we all know what the regime normally does. In Arua, they planted guns in my hotel room in order to take me before the military court. When my entire campaign team was picked up from Kalangala, the regime claimed that 49 of them were found in possession of 4 bullets and charged them before the military court! They planted military pips at the home of comrade Achileo Kivumbi in plain sight of everyone, and took him to the military court. These are just a few examples. Therefore, Museveni wants a kangaroo court which he controls 100%. That is why he paid 100 million shillings of our taxes to each MP so that they quickly pass this repressive law. That is why they're trying to rush it without consulting the people of Uganda. Because they know it is immoral, illegal and illegitimate! I want to call upon the MPs, if they have any conscience left, to learn from history and reject this Bill. Learn from history and know that you can be the very first victim of that Bill. If you disagree with Museveni or those close to him, or if someone wants to take your land, they will easily come and plant anything on you and take you to the military court. Do this for yourselves but most importantly for our nation. Any MP who supports such a law is an enemy of the people of Uganda and must be treated as such. To the People of Uganda, the regime continues to provoke us in unimaginable ways. We have said it time and again that dictators listen to pressure. They listen to protest. They listen to righteous anger. The regime is yet again availing us another reason to fight and protest against this criminality. Let each of us use every opportunity to protest and to make our voices heard. Our oppressors are a small clique of corrupt individuals who are passing all these laws to protect their loot. The day we the people of Uganda rise up and say ENOUGH, it will be game over for the cabal. We shall then have an opportunity to build a fair and just country. For God and My Country! #FreeAllPoliticalPrisonersinUganda #FreeUganda

@GabrielBuule Bold of you to think that reasoning and comprehension are core values of winning an argument in that August house led by NRM vampires. Even if you had 100 Ssemujjuz with 200 Twaha Kagabo z, the difference would be the similarity. We are on our own 😭

This bill reminds us that we need sober opposition MPs... The bill is worryingly vague, and it needs legislators who can read, comprehend, and pause questions.

I'm glad to see how much MTN has grown. I remember when it first started; Mzee Mandela called me on a small phone. That was the beginning of MTN.

Kabobi in his usual shallowness and stupidity tries to tribalize every beating he gets from us. You have to excuse him. He is not the brightest guy. The guy got a diploma in Music, Dance and Drama. I personally love Baganda very much! Baganda and Banyankore are probably the closest people in the world.

From the time Muhoozi made tough statements against Elwelu, it became obvious that his time in the military was up. Another lesson to people who get excited with borrowed power and think they are part of the ruling class.

Very touched by the tragic loss of super talented photographer @SaadShots. In him, our country has lost a visionary young man with a promising future. Our sympathies go to his family and friends, the photography world, and all who were touched by his work.

For simply driving a car branded with the National Unity Platform colors in Mubende on the day dictator Museveni was in the district, our comrades Kyeyune Pafuladito and Kakooza Damasen were violently removed from their car by SFC soldiers yesterday, arrested and detained at Mubende police up to now! A criminal regime seized with so much fear. Stay strong comrades. Our struggle will end in victory! #FreeAllPoliticalPrisonersinUganda
