@taj1944 Do you know the level of suck that your franchise has to reach for its highlight over the past 15 years being the hope that a player might potentially come there in five years. Just cheer for another team that isn’t that dismal.

Me: My fee is 4%. Seller: The other broker was asking 3%. Me: You get what you pay for. That’s why you called me. That last seller that went with the 3% guy sat on the market for 8 months. Then he called me and I brought him 4 offers over asking in a week. True story. The buyer of that deal follows me on here!

If you live in Toronto or Vancouver the value of your home in 2026 is similar to the price it was 10 years ago in 2016.

@JimChuong Yikes, bad take, after bad take.... just because you're fully invested in the states, stocks, housing, doesn't mean you need to drop to your knees for Uncle Sam every time.

Canadians are not boycotting the U.S. because of POTUS. It’s not a boycott - it’s poverty. Canadians and their economy are broke. They have no no money. “Life support” Americans are not paying the tariffs, real estate is melting down, and Canadians are losing tens of thousands of jobs. Canadians with money still buy from, and travel to, the U.S. But Canadians with no money are staying home because they can’t afford to go anywhere except Cuba, Mexico or Brampton.

Canadians are not boycotting travel to the U.S. Canadians are poor and financially insecure. They’re not visiting the U.S. because they have no money. They’re taking cheap trips to Mexico and Scarborough. Canadians with money are visiting the U.S. Hopefully the poor Canadians can pay down their giant debts soon.

@tgreaux @NHLRumourReport Can’t imagine there’s a team out there that wants to retain for multiple seasons as a third team in a trade.

Darren Dreger: There's interest in Dougie Hamilton, we talked about the teams interested in Rasmus Andersson, well some of those teams would duplicate and have an interest in Hamilton, but not at that price tag; are the Devils willing to retain? - Barn Burner (1/16)

I live in Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 I own rental real estate in the U.S. 🇺🇸 I don’t hold keys I don’t do evictions I don’t unclog toilets I don’t want a real job I don’t know the tenants I don’t visit the properties Your job is to be an investor not a property manager.

@JimChuong Not really, it used to be convenient to travel to the states...lucky for us it has been inconvenient, leading to more global travel. See this across my friends and family network.

Many of my Canadian friends have booked family vacations to the U.S. over the holidays. California, Arizona, Hawaii, Texas, and Florida 🇺🇸❤️ The only people avoiding travel to the U.S. are Canadians with no money. Hopefully things turn around financially for Canadians who can’t afford travel to the U.S.

Me: “I don’t know, son.” 5YO: “What happened to it?” Me: “Some greedy landlord probably evicted them. Or they got injured at work and could no longer work. It’s easy to become homeless in Vancouver”

"Daddy, where do homeless people eat their breakfast?" my 5YO asked me. We had been at a park when we happened upon a tent. My son thought that was a play tent and he was about to go in and explore it when I told him not to. #vanre 🧵

DAL outscored EDM 5-on-5 in the Conference Final, and were far and away the better team in Game 6. I buy that the Stars ran out of a steam because of the Vegas, Colorado gauntlet, but the notion that they didn't show well in Round 3 doesn't really hold up. They got McDavid'd.

@j_mcelroy Why is Surrey in the middle, but Vancouver is in a better position? Misaligned funding by the NDP, just like the healthcare VC vs FHA.

Why are some large school districts really good when it comes to containing portables, and others are struggling? It really comes down to enrolment growth. Because B.C. doesn't fund schools *until* there's enough demand, fast-growing places are constantly playing catchup.

A few months ago I wanted to know exactly how many portables there were in every community in the province. The province said "too bad, you'll have to contact every single school district in British Columbia." Fortunately, I'm a very stubborn person. cbc.ca/news/canada/br…

@AvivaRealEstate You should look at leasing office space as a substitute for industrial space. Cheaper rents and better options for simple storage needs.

Taxes on our warehouses used to go up 3-5% per year. Some have now gone up 200-300% in the last 2 years. This will crush small business in Denver. Are other markets experiencing this?

This guy is a real piece of work. Aside from the fact that his party is propping up the Trudeau government, the NDP is the party in power in BC (and the BC NDP is formally affiliated with its Federal counterpart).
Jagmeet Singh@theJagmeetSingh

None of this is an accident. Conservatives and Liberals have let rich investors use housing as a get-rich quick scheme. Now their greed is so out of control that a 200 sqft “apartment” is going for $2000/month.
