@ryanalxander91 It's something I always say about WoW, it has darkness, but it's not handled correctly. The truth is that WoW is in its worst phase, and anything even remotely good that comes from other Blizzard games will be embraced by the abandoned community as something that can save wow.

People are nostalgic for a WoW that never existed. You can make arguments about WC 1 & 2 all you want but WoW itself was never “dark and gorey”. It’s not Diablo and never has been. Yes there have been darker elements in WoW but not the way people seem to remember

Which way, Western gamer? OG wow was never meant to be overtly cartoonish or Disney. it was meant to be stylized, hand painted, exaggerated with a touch of grit and a dash of humor. Diablo was meant to be grim gothic horror. Over time, WoW got the Disney treatment. It was a mistake. Insiders tell me sales are less than expected for the latest expansion.

I’m going to say something that’s obvious but still true: Diablo can’t afford to drop in quality because it has PoE, PoE2, and Last Epoch (and others) right on its heels. WoW doesn’t really have that, and they know it...

@BellularGaming I agree with you on that, and the game has its dark parts and sharp edges; Alexstrasza and Sinestra being forced to lay eggs, the massacre of the draenei—these were moments that should have carried much more weight.But everything is treated as a joke; nowadays it's even worse.
