@videotech I did this exact upgrade a few months ago. The main reason for me was local AI, which I was more than impressed with with this upgrade. For gaming, there was also a decent performance jump. I would say go for it. The 5080 pulls 360W where the 4070S pulls 220W, so check your PSU.

@clemwo @geerlingguy @plex @jellyfin Yep, then it works from anywhere, just like Plex. All you’d do is type in your “domain” for the server address. You can ask a chat bot on how to set up remote access for Jellyfin using what I described earlier, so it makes more sense.

The company states the adjustment supports the platform's ongoing value and long-term development. Current users can still buy at the old price until the effective date.
