@Dakota61796618 @AdamLucioWX Iowa has plenty of roads. I mean they suck and are gravel/dirt but there is a lot of them. I was in Iowa last Friday. Saw the chaser convergence on the first storm and went south. All those folks following the big boys missed a couple dropping nice and pretty .

@AdamLucioWX And this is why I'm only chasing in Iowa this year because people don't fucking know how to drive! And follow other storm chasers around.... There's a lot of us who actually want to storm chase not follow the dom! So people stop following the dom and actually fucking storm chase.

This was one of the saddest things to see. People following the Dom so hard they literally pulled over next trees, unable to see anything. The janky bird fart tornado ongoing at the time was barely visible in the open, let alone through trees. I know the recovery vehicle has a purpose to follow, but everyone else? Pathetic. At one point prior to this the funnel passed nearly overhead as I sat on the side of the road watching, then the circus pulled up and things got clustered...had that thing actually planted into something real....yikes. Shortly after that and seeing how bad it was becoming, I had to change my strategy to simply put miles between myself and it all...the chase became more enjoyable minus the terrain/roads we were plagued with all day. There's a point where trying to be closest to get your little extreme storm chaser points isn't worth the loss of sanity. I'll gladly take a step back to breathe. I've got nothing to proove by trying to be mr zero meter all the time. I enjoy it, but only in certain circumstances.

Once you actually go outside and talk to normal people, you’ll realize that none of this storm chaser convergence shit is real at all and doesn’t happen

The days preceding a stretch like this upcoming Thursday-Monday+ go agonizingly slow. So much excitement, but also concern and anxiety for those in the risk zones. Should be nonstop chasing starting tomorrow. Hopefully things stay rural, and if they don't we are there to help get the word out and people are prepared.

Hello everyone! Welcome back to the weekly chaser question. Today's question is moreso directed towards the veteran/experienced chasers. It is, if you could give any advice to younger/inexperienced chasers what would it be?

I don’t suppose anybody who is on my friends list knows anything about streaming on larix

@ChasingWConnor Hey Connor love your work. I have been chasing for 20 years. Just started streaming. I’m having a huge problem with Larix accepting the YouTube link. I know I need starlink to be stable but anything now would greatly help. Nobody seems to know why ?

We finally hit 200k over on YouTube during our last chase!

@ChasingWConnor @ChrisHallWx I’m having a huge problem with Larix myself. I guess adding starlink is the answer ? I’m just trying to stream after years of chasing. I can not get my YouTube link to work. Larix accepted the connection but it won’t stream to it. If you can help me thank you very much.

I have been using larix successfully for months. Idk what you are doing for internet but what you describe just sounds like your internet was poor. I had the same problem when I was just running it off of my phone data. It does a lot of disconnecting and reconnecting if your internet is not stable.

I know i have people on here that are tech savvy.. Anyone ever have problems out of the app Larix? My stream would not stay connected whatsoever today. Would connect successfully, then disconnect and threw a error code that it couldn't connect back.

After tonight’s update. We will be chasing central/south Central ILL. There is a legit chance of a few weak tornados.

@SCweather_wx Yea Mr Mitch until today nobody said a word about snow in Crntral IL until this morning 🤬🤬 We are chasing Thursday for sure. Friday is nocturnal In an area I am not familiar with that has terrible roads. Chasing can be dangerous if you let it. Not ready to pass yet 😂

The long range GFS currently running reflects the pattern coming up well. Arctic boundary has the chance to set up..

@MaxVelocityWX Thursday is sneaky going to be interesting in southern IL and southern Mo tornado risk is there. So hard to chase but we are giving it a run. Friday is nocturnal in a place I’m not familiar with that has crap roads. I’m not ready to leave this earth yet we are skipping it
