Trump’s FCC chair, Brendan Carr, says he plans to punish and potentially revoke broadcast licenses for TV networks critical of the Trump administration: “I’d be surprised if we don’t go down the path of license revocation for some. It will be up to them and their conduct.” This is fascism. This is what they do in authoritarian countries. This is cancel culture on steroids. Where’s the outrage?

Broadcasters that are running hoaxes and news distortions - also known as the fake news - have a chance now to correct course before their license renewals come up. The law is clear. Broadcasters must operate in the public interest, and they will lose their licenses if they do not. And frankly, changing course is in their own business interests since trust in legacy media has now fallen to an all time low of just 9% and are ratings disasters. The American people have subsidized broadcasters to the tune of billions of dollars by providing free access to the nation’s airwaves. It is very important to bring trust back into media, which has earned itself the label of fake news. When a political candidate is able to win a landslide election victory after in the face of hoaxes and distortions, there is something very wrong. It means the public has lost faith and confidence in the media. And we can’t allow that to happen. Time for change!

Michigan State Rep. Karen Whitsett just announced she’s leaving the Democrat Party — and politics — saying the party’s platform increasingly clashes with her Christian faith. That takes courage. Rep. Whitsett made it clear she can’t reconcile her beliefs with a political culture that celebrates abortion, pushes radical gender ideology, and dismisses the values many families still hold dear. Whether people agree with her or not, choosing principles over party is something we should all respect. We need more elected officials willing to stand on their morals — even when it means walking away from power. Michigan would be better served if more leaders remembered that integrity matters more than party loyalty.

I voted for Donald Trump because he felt like the lesser of two evils. I didn’t want Joe Biden or Kamala Harris continuing what I believed was corruption and chaos. Trump promised no new wars. He promised to end wars. He promised America First. That’s why I supported him. But now? We’re watching conflicts escalate. Billions sent overseas. Military aid flowing to Israel and Ukraine. Meanwhile Americans are struggling to buy groceries. Veterans are homeless. Families are drowning in debt. Where is America First? I didn’t vote for more foreign entanglements. I voted for peace. At 9:05 AM CT, as DHS law enforcement officers were conducting a targeted operation in Minneapolis against an illegal alien wanted for violent assault, an individual approached US Border Patrol officers with a 9 mm semi-automatic handgun, seen here.  The officers attempted to disarm the suspect but the armed suspect violently resisted. More details on the armed struggle are forthcoming. Fearing for his life and the lives and safety of fellow officers, an agent fired defensive shots. Medics on scene immediately delivered medical aid to the subject but was pronounced dead at the scene.  The suspect also had 2 magazines and no ID—this looks like a situation where an individual wanted to do maximum damage and massacre law enforcement.    About 200 rioters arrived at the scene and began to obstruct and assault law enforcement on the scene, crowd control measures were deployed for the safety of the public and law enforcement.  This situation is evolving, and more information is forthcoming.

Michigan deserves policies that lower costs, expand opportunity, and keep our economy moving forward.
