Paramount is set to release the next Longlegs film, taking over from NEON, which distributed the original.
Reports say NEON moved on from the project after its scale and budget grew beyond the studio’s usual lane.
It is not being made as a direct sequel, but as a new story set in the world of Longlegs.

@jasonwilliamsmd I went to the ER with testicular pain a few years ago and they gave me an ultrasound almost immediately. It was fast to do too, crazy to me they didn't try it early on, seems like a no brainer "why not check" sort of thing.

Testicular cancer has a 95% cure rate when caught early. Zac was 22, had a swollen testicle, abdominal pain, and months of worsening symptoms. He saw multiple doctors. Not one ordered an ultrasound. By the time his mother paid for a private scan, it was stage 3.
This is the failure I see over and over. Young men get told they're too young for cancer. Women get told their pain is anxiety. The scan that takes 15 minutes and costs almost nothing keeps getting skipped in favor of antibiotics and reassurance.
Imaging is not an overreaction. In a young patient with a palpable mass and escalating pain, it's the standard of care. His mother did everything right, and she is the reason his story is reaching the people who need to hear it. Rest in peace, Zac.

Ok hear me out, in Project Hail Mary, if the mission had failed and Grace never sent Taomoeba back to earth… couldn’t earth still have been ok with 90%+ sunlight forever (which is what happened with other stars after the astrophage population feeding on them eventually plateaus) by using the ability to breed and harness astrophage for infinite free energy which could be used for light and heat for agriculture, building giant heated greenhouses, keeping mega cities plenty warm, etc?
Think of all the stuff you could do with astrophage besides interstellar travel. It’s mind boggling how many civilization level infrastructure projects would suddenly be realistically feasible.

This is a common misconception based on ridiculous statements about Voyager. Voyager is traveling absurdly slow. If we were interested in sending a vehicle to Alpha Centauri inside of 1 human lifetime, entirely using nuclear and chemical reactional propulsion, we could. You can get to .2 or .3c with a large enough fission/fusion/rocket, which are entirely known regimes of physics. It would be a monumental engineering undertaking but not unlike the Hoover Dam or Apollo. We just aren’t that motivated. This is if we were compelled to send frail, living humans. If we sent AI the time problem disappears entirely. John Von Neumann figured this out like literally 100 years ago.
