Great to hear the PM confirm that new legislation to proscribe the IRGC, and tackle malign state actors more generally, will be brought forward in the next Parliamentary session.
Pleased that the PM has listened to MPs, Lords - and most importantly of all - the Jewish community.

An ultra Orthodox man doing his job as a building inspector was working in Slough when he was physically attacked by a total stranger screaming ‘baby killer’ and ‘dirty mother f*cking Jew’ at him. A friend of his has sent me this video telling me the man is now ‘afraid to leave his area, he is terrified for his life.’ As the most visibly obvious Jews, the community has extra security where they live but are increasingly frightened to leave their neighbourhood. ‘It is devastating that Jewish people can’t go anywhere without a high risk of being attacked,’ I was told. 🚔 @ThamesVP are investigating and seeking witnesses to the attack on Monday afternoon in Slough. Growing up in the UK, I’ve never had someone approach me and say “what are you doing around here” for being black.
This happened to a Jewish man who was simply doing his job.
Combined with the arson attacks, British Jews are targeted in ways people like me aren’t. A sickness.

Joined the PM for a visit to Kenton United Synagogue where he met with Chief Rabbi Mirvis and other communal reps to hear first-hand concerns of attendees. Sensed frustration Westminster continues to obsess over other matters rather than tackling Jew-hate.

My solution as usual is nice platitudes, building you bigger walls to hide behind & a new one, paying lip service to taking action. I mean don’t expect actual concrete steps like proscribing the IRGC, confronting hate marches or instructing the police to arrest antisemites.

I asked @ZackPolanski yesterday what is the Green Party's response to the recent wave of attacks against Jewish sites in the UK. His response: “I'm concerned about rising antisemitic attacks. We saw arson attacks on ambulances for instance and we know that increasingly jewish communities are feeling unsafe. There’s a conversation to be had about whether it’s a perception of unsafety or whether it’s actual unsafety, but neither are acceptable”.
