O primeiro dia foi pura encenação, o tipo de teatro diplomático que a China faz bem e que Trump adora porque gera manchete. Mas quando você olha pro que realmente aconteceu, a lista é curta e triste: renovaram licença pra quatrocentos frigoríficos de carne americana, o que é um gesto que Pequim pode desfazer amanhã de manhã se quiser, e falaram em comprar petróleo dos EUA, o que não faz sentido nenhum porque a China tá nadando em petróleo iraniano e russo com desconto que nenhum americano consegue competir. O único item que parecia concreto, a liberação do chip H200 da Nvidia pra vender pras empresas chinesas, virou vitrine vazia porque Pequim orientou Alibaba, Tencent e ByteDance a não comprarem, deixando o produto pendurado no ar como isca que a China controla e o Trump usa pra dizer que abriu o mercado chinês. E Taiwan, que era pra ser o tema quente com aquele pacote de "11 bilhões", sumiu do comunicado oficial como se nunca tivesse existido. Os CEOs de tecnologia que viajaram com ele, o Huang da Nvidia, o Cook da Apple, o Musk da Tesla, o Mehrotra da Micron, o Amon da Qualcomm, todos estão lá pedindo acesso a um mercado que a China está fechando de propósito porque já construiu alternativas domésticas pra memória, chips móveis, componentes ópticos, GPUs, e não precisa mais assinar nada com ninguém. A China não vai assinar contrato, não vai dar garantia, não vai ter pressa, ela simplesmente deixa tudo pendurado, chips, petróleo, agricultura e usa cada item como alavanca pro momento certo. Trump leva a foto pra campanha, Xi leva o tempo que o mundo precisa pra mudar de vez.

@MerlijnTrader XI would have to be really stupid to make any deals with Trump, a notorious liar and a back stabber. The CEOs are there to add credibility and beg for rare metals. Either way, the greatest deals the world has ever seen will be announced by Trump on Friday. That's for sure.

Just got off a call with a childhood friend His wife has cancer, it took 5 months to wipe out 20 years of his life savings and that was with insurance. He said the experience has turned him into a hateful, bitter person. They did everything they were told. They went to college, got degrees, avoided credit card debt, spent wisely, saved a nice chunk of money in savings accounts and retirement accounts and minded their own business. The USA healthcare system took all of their savings and retirement and forced them to refinance their house so that they lost 15 years of equity. Is this a country we are supposed to be proud of?
