Roki Sasaki's best start as a big leaguer looked like: 7 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 8 K, 91/69. By far the best command of his new four-pitch mix, and the most effective use of his slider. Good progress on mixing the two forkball/splitter options too. Big step forward for Sasaki today.

Milwaukee Brewers' starting pitcher Kyle Harrison threw five scoreless innings against the Padres, allowing five hits, zero walks, and seven strikeouts. Harrison had a 17.2% swinging-strike rate and a 34% ball rate on Thursday. 👉The Padres stacked right-handed hitters (88%) against Harrison. He consistently threw four-seamers, slurves, and changeups against righties on Thursday. Harrison had the four-seamer cooking by generating a 21% swinging-strike rate. The four-seamer added 1 mph of velocity on Thursday, with very little fluctuation in the movement profile, as a heater he throws in the upper parts of the zone. 🪫Harrison located his slurve and changeup low in the zone to pair well with his four-seamers up in the zone. Interestingly, Harrison's changeup (+4) and slurve (+2) added 2 or more inches of downward movement, meaning they could be pitches to elicit whiffs. He has three pitches with a double-digit swinging-strike rate in 2026, including his four-seam (16.5%), curveball (11.5%), and changeup (10.7%). Harrison has shown high-end command (112 Location+) and above-average stuff, with an overall 112 Stuff+.
