🚨 ALTMAN BOUGHT BROCKMAN'S LOYALTY IN 2017 In 2017, Sam Altman personally paid Greg Brockman with ~$10 million in equity off the books from his personal family office. Brockman hid it from Musk. Musk's family office head Jared Birchall discovered it and wrote to Musk on August 18, 2017: >"He compensated Greg on the side... a percentage ownership of the LLC that holds the assets of Sam's personal family office, worth $10 million." >"Naturally, Greg is going to have greater allegiance towards Sam as a result of this arrangement." Musk forwarded the email to Brockman with: "??" Brockman didn't respond. Brockman confirmed it under oath today: Q: Elon Musk didn't know about this. Right? Brockman: "He certainly didn't know about it." Q: "You thought it was fair to have a side deal with Sam Altman that you concealed from your cofounder, Elon Musk?" Brockman: "We had never discussed compensation directly." Q: Don't you think it would be material to disclose that someone you were in business with had a specific loyalty to someone else compensating him? Brockman's defense: "Elon's time was relatively hard to get." Two years before Altman offered Musk equity publicly, he had already bought Brockman's loyalty secretly. The price was $10 million in equity on the side while OpenAI was a charity. Hidden from co-founder Musk who was funding it.

Spoke with a doctor from Austin, TX: They currently have $140,000 in a savings account. Considering putting it in the S&P 500 but worried about value now being all time high. May instead put their money in a 12 month CD giving them guaranteed 4.5%. ...What would you do!?

@chamath Would guess for those subscribed to FSD retention is 100%...would be like trying a Smartphone and going back to a Flip Phone. Tesla really doesn't even belong on the same list...it doesn't even matter how many people are loyal to the Flip Phone makers. Tesla is the endgame

It’s hard to understand what the other 39% are thinking. Once you drive a Tesla, it’s like driving an all-seeing sensor with a super computer behind the scenes doing all the decision making, driving and navigation. Also, you never have to go to a gas station.

My husband was diagnosed with glioblastoma and given 12 months to live. He has been on #ANKTIVA and PDL-1 NK infusions. He has now had 2 normal brain scans. The red tape to ground breaking therapy needs to be cut! The fact the FDA wrote Dr Pat a letter to silence him is a disgrace. People deserve to choose the path that makes sense to them. They deserve hope! They shouldn’t have to fail standard therapy to be given a chance at life. The first MRI is before, the 2nd after. @bullishbruk

TWO DAYS after receiving the application, FDA greenlit the new pancreatic cancer drug daraxonrasib for expanded access. This drug has also been granted a national priority voucher, which means a full application could be reviewed in a matter of weeks instead of 10-12 months.

Had Spirit Airlines been allowed to merge with Jet Blue, it would have given them much more resiliency.   Thanks to @SenWarren, @PeteButtigieg, and all of their friends in the Biden Administration who backed their enthusiastic opposition to the Spirit-Jet Blue merger, dozens of regional airports will now lose service and thousands of jobs will now be lost.

FOR ONCE, I wish politicians would own their decisions and take responsibility for their actions. The JetBlue-Spirit merger was blocked by the Biden DOJ and a federal judge. Sen. Elizabeth Warren actively championed the block, urging Transportation Secretary Buttigieg to intervene and later calling the merger failure a “Biden win for flyers.” Now Spirit is gone (classic antitrust). Yet Warren is ruing the outcome and is already deflecting blame.
Elizabeth Warren@SenWarren

Spiking fuel prices from Trump’s war was the nail in the coffin for twice-bankrupted Spirit airline. FWIW, JetBlue merger failed because a judge, appointed by Ronald Reagan, said the deal was illegal. Republicans are desperate to shift blame from higher costs hitting families.

17,000 jobs—gone. EW stopped a merger, calling it a monopoly (at 9% of the entire market) and a Biden win. 17,000 jobs.

NOBODY IS TELLING YOU HOW FUCKED THE SPIRIT AIRLINES SITUATION ACTUALLY IS RIGHT NOW. Everyone is watching Duffy's press conference. Nobody is connecting what the government actually did here. Here's what you need to understand: → Spirit was bleeding cash in 2022 — JetBlue offered $3,800,000,000 to save it → The Biden DOJ sued to block the deal in March 2023 — argued it would "raise prices for consumers" → A federal judge sided with the DOJ in January 2024 and killed the merger → Elizabeth Warren went on camera and called it a "Biden win for fliers" → JetBlue walked away in March 2024 and paid a $69,000,000 breakup fee just to escape → Spirit filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in November 2024 → Spirit filed for bankruptcy AGAIN in August 2025 → The airline the government "protected" no longer exists They're showing you a Transportation Secretary losing his temper on camera. They're NOT showing you that the government blocked a $3,800,000,000 rescue deal to "protect competition" — and now there is no airline AND less competition. → Spirit is gone → JetBlue lost $69,000,000 in breakup fees → Every Spirit route is now either dead or absorbed by larger carriers → The price-sensitive travelers Warren claimed to protect have fewer options and higher fares The DOJ argued the merger would harm consumers. The merger dying harmed consumers. "History has judged the denial of the JetBlue-Spirit merger under Biden as a MASSIVE MISTAKE." That's not a political opponent saying it. That's the sitting Transportation Secretary. On the record. In public. It's a collapse. Many people will regret not following me sooner, trust me.

Because of the economics of @SpiritAirlines biz model, management knew it needed to merge with a stronger player to withstand the market volatility. That’s why it was so reckless for @JoeBiden and @PeteButtigieg to block the merger
Stephanie Ruhle@SRuhle

2 things can be true. - the Biden Administration blocked a JetBlue/Spirit merger out of market consolidation concerns & now here we are with one company gone. - the final blow that caused Spirit to fall was skyrocketing jet fuel prices caused by the war in Iran.

As many as 14,000 Spirit employees lost their jobs today. The people who killed the merger — like Liz Warren, Pete Buttigieg and the DOJ’s antitrust division — still have theirs. In economics, being wrong costs you. In politics, being wrong costs someone else.

Elizabeth Warren won this one, stopped the merger, now 14k people out of a job, and higher fares for everyone This is what Socialism looks like, this is what happens when politicians mess with markets.
Yogi@Houseofyogi

Spirit Airlines died tonight at the hands of the socialist crusader, Elizabeth Warren She must be so proud to add another casket to her achievements. Tonight at 3am, Spirit turns off the lights. 14,000 jobs gone. 30+ smaller airports lose service. JetBlue offered $3.8 BILLION in cash to buy Spirit in 2022. Shareholders, flight attendants union, literally everyone voted yes. The combined company would have held 9% of the US market against a Big 4 that already owned 80%. For anyone who understands numbers: 9% isn’t a monopoly against 80%. Warren said no. She wrote letters. She pressured Buttigieg. Biden’s DOJ sued. A federal judge killed the deal in January 2024. Her argument: the merger would cost consumers $1 billion a year. Now look at her collateral damage she dusts under the rug. 510 pilots gone in the months after. 1,800 flight attendants furloughed in December. 14,000 jobs in 2023. 7,500 last week. Zero tonight. And that’s just the people in Spirit uniforms. Catering goes. Fuel guys go. Baggage crews, gate agents, airport coffee shops, hotels and rental cars in 70 cities Spirit flew to. Every airline job carries 3 more on its back. 40,000 people out of work because of one woman’s moronic crusade against the market. And the math ain’t mathing. Spirit abandoned 90 routes during the death spiral. Fares on those routes are up 14% on average. Oakland to Newark: $135 to $288. Fort Myers to San Juan: $92 to $219. Kansas City to Newark up 66%. That’s reality. Not some BS number from a “study.” So @SenWarren tell me how this saves the consumer money? Cheap carriers in a market drop fares 21% across the board. Southwest did this in the 90s and saved Americans $68 BILLION over 20 years. Warren killed it. That’s what moronic politicians led by socialism do. Then with her own blind arrogance, she tweeted Spirit’s collapse is “a Biden win for flyers.” A win. 14,000 people are reading termination letters tonight. And she’s taking credit. This is socialism in 2026. A senator who’s never made payroll thinks she knows how to run a market better than the people who own and work in the company. She saved you a billion on imaginary paper. She cost you ten times that in real life. She didn’t protect consumers from anything. 14,000+ will go from working to welfare. She will make sure to blame billionaires, hardworking tax payers, AI, capitalism and whatever monster they will make up tomorrow hiding under your bed. Higher taxes. Fewer jobs. More expensive everything. She called it a win. I hope you enjoy winning.
