@PloughLaneByNum Wholesale change needed at Premier League level first. Before then, will always be a (large) % of clubs lower down the EFL that will spend beyond their means, even with recognition of how short-sighted that is.

Does seem like there's more people inside the game calling out the financial unsustainability now. Also plenty of clubs trying to sell minority or majority stakes but not seemingly loads of takers. Perhaps a bit of hope that it'll have to change at some point.

@GabSutton @PloughLaneByNum Not hugely surprising given his CV to date Gab, but I agree there has been step up in the consistency of his performances since last year. Attributable to having a full pre-season, being consistently fit, and playing in the 9 or 10 role every week I think.

@BatemanNi @rezla Certainly 1st half of last season but on the other hand once we were behind we never got back into games or won a point from behind (Notts C, PV and Salford mid October 24 comes to mind).

@BatemanNi @rezla That was definitely true too. Tbf lots of the dropped points from late goals were in a short period around March (Barrow, Walsall, Swindon etc).

@9yrspodcast Seddon, no contest. Although I’d argue Lewis and Johnson did little wrong as Bishop gifted them a goal but other than that they barely had a look in.

Think I saw reports they had a falling out, could be wrong though, then hecky gave him a game and badly injured his shoulder/elbow which put him out for a few months. Was a fan favourite though first couple of seasons with us
