A smart golfer (most single digits can figure it out) would be strategic and not putt at the hole but to a space where a second putt can be had and avoid a 5

@Bauer0027 @DavidCBets @HorganMills From the furthest point or the most difficult point on the green, no, they’d never 2 putt. A 5-6 putt is far more likely. We saw pros putting INTO the water from regular putting locations.
In your defense, a 1 is way different than a 9. But a 5 HDCP isn’t as good as you think.

@Nole_Alum @DavidCBets @HorganMills For an average golfer, I would agree 100%. For a single digit handicap, they have played enough golf to figure out speeds that they can manage some 3 putts. I mean they’d probably just get lucky on a couple holes two putting by accident.

@Bauer0027 @DavidCBets @HorganMills Correct, that is how math works. But they WON’T 3 putt on half the holes. 3 putts would be exceptional from the furthest point of a green rolling at 15 on the stint.
To reach -13 they’d have 3.8 putts per hole for 72 straight holes.
Factor in bad putts. It’s not happening.

@Nole_Alum @DavidCBets @HorganMills 4 putts are birdies on all the par 5’s and pars on all the par 4s. The par threee greens are smaller and while you can still 4 putt, it’s less likely. Now imagine if they 3 putt half of the 18 holes. For a single digit handicap, they can manage to win this format.
