For the last three years, I’ve taught a comparative constitutional law course without a single SCOTUS judgment, by design. Cannot explain how refreshing it is to not be subjected to nine partisan hacks reverse-engineering party political preferences and pretending it’s law.

They are attacking a Court that just overturned Trump's biggest obsession, tariffs, and in his first term ruled against him more than any other president. The Pack the Court crowd pretends its about fighting back. Their real complaint is that not 100% of rulings go their way.







One goal of New Deal regulation—and I’m thinking of the SEC in particular—was to bend internal firm culture toward the public interest. I’m inclined to think this worked at least somewhat, but is likely to be blunted as firms turn over regulatory compliance work to AI.


This is what a rigged system looks like. It’s not democracy. It’s a power grab.
