@onabike1 @MartinSLewis Even for business owners it didn’t make sense if they want to encourage people to run businesses. A business owner will already have paid 25% corporation tax on the profits and now paying 10.75% gives a total of 35.75 % tax of earnings within the basic rate.

@MartinSLewis When she wants people to invest in stocks and shares ISA / investments, why impose increased tax on dividends. Appreciate the rationale for business owners and earnings via divs, but if divs are from shares the current £500 allowance isn’t great.

@eonenergyuk your complaints handler Paul Spencer is constantly lying to me about sending a deadlock letter out. I have raised a complaint with the Ombudsman but he keeps lying to me about getting this letter sent. Can you get it to me please
