@_Im__Lucas Counterargument: iirc both Lancer and Berdly were meant to be party members (Lancer in the short section he joins you, Berdly in the Queen fight) but Toby couldn’t code it properly. Also when there were 4 members in ch2 there were a lot of bullshit excuses to not let Noelle fight

I wanna say its surprising that more people DON'T think it would be possible for Toby to just... play it straight by having a four member party in chapter 6, but I have to remind myself that Deltarune is probably GENUINELY a lot of people's first RPG.

You would also have to think to backtrack to the save point after the Tenna fight, ignoring forward moment to follow Tenna. For the average player, you’re gonna be low on hp and items when meeting the Knight and just die a couple hits in with no chance to try again.

@Tomorrowfrfr @HannahCosmic Most notably the fact you don’t get the option to retry the fight normally after you lose until you reach the end of the chapter. You will die and the game will just continue, so you have to think to finish the chapter then reload your save to even try again

@gallaktyka There's a big caveat to that, honestly. How people name Chara stupid shit so Asriel will say it with a straight face. It'd devalue it in a sense. Maybe they won't know our name, but they will address us, somehow.

@flowflow_2slow In chapter 7 the way to get the egg is going to involve buying an egg pass for 40 rupys and you’ll have to go back to chapter 1 and 2 to get them from lancer’s room and then they’ll appear in purple hole in chapter 7’s castle town, but due to inflation the egg pass will be 41

If chapter 1 and 2 were made today this would've shown up in the menu as a seperate currency
