Between the Lines (1992-94) RIP Tom Georgeson Who watched this? Think I may have to give this a rewatch as do remember it being really good with an all-round stellar cast.

@Ms_L_Simpson @IPhillips79 As I remember it she was found by an old guy who mined opals. He nursed her back to health and gave her some opals that paid for the plastic surgery?

@IPhillips79 I love how after she'd been attacked by the crocodile, she was found injured but alive in the mud by a plastic surgeon. What a stroke of luck!

Return To Eden (1983 mini-series) Australia's wealthiest woman, Stephanie Harper, is thrown into a crocodile pit by cheating husband...she survives but presumed dead, has plastic surgery, becomes a supermodel & plots revenge on evil husband! 😂Preposterous but CLASSIC TV! 😂❤️

Bleeding Heart Yard: Local myth claims the dismembered body of Lady Elizabeth Hatton was found here with her heart still pumping blood onto the stones. Charles Dickens used the yard as a central setting in his novel Little Dorrit, where it was the home of the Plornish family.

@YesterdaysBrit1 its Sacrilege. Similar thing happened at Margate with their ornate Lido. They close them down due to health and safety or Disrepair. Just bloody repair them then, will bring people in or back to use them ! So much better than an empty concrete bowl or car park !

The glorious bathing pool in Ramsgate. It would sadly close in 1975, with the land being converted into a f'cking car park! Doesn't bear thinking about, does it?!

@marksandspencer Was excited to read about your new Nutrient Dense range. Checked it out yesterday and as I suspected all of them contain chilli. Can you not make any ready meal without lobbing in chilli? Other herbs and spices are available!

Emily Robinson, the former communications officer for Meghan Markle's family, spoke out for the first time about her resignation, revealing that the Duchess's work style sometimes left her confused, unsure whether she was working with a queen or a regular employer. ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️

@LandsEnd No. These are ‘fleece-lined’ - you used to sell trousers that were fleece through and through until a couple of years ago.

@LandsEnd @LandsEnd_UK Can you explain why there are fleece jackets/jerseys/gilets on the UK site but no full fleece trousers anymore? Do you think only the top half gets cold nowadays?

@BazRees @OrendaBooks @RandomTTours Baz - it really isn’t too graphic, a difficult subject but not gratuitous and it has balance within the storyline with some quite heartwarming moments. I have read all the books in the series, it’s a favourite of mine so I hope that at some time you will feel able to read. Janet

@OrendaBooks @RandomTTours @K_RhodesWriter Yes, a great balance to gently relieve those awful crimes. Kate has a great knack of doing this and indeed keeping even the most heinous crimes from being too graphic, again balance so it’s not too hard to carry on, indeed it becomes compelling. Thank you for the opportunity. x

@LissaKEvans In school ‘reading books’ were dished out by the teacher. The rule was 1st hand up got the book. One day there were 3 Shutes, as soon as she said Nev a dozen hands shot up. We were told off ‘cos she hadn’t said what it was yet. She gave the book to someone else. It still hurts.

I'd call this a 'well-crafted story', except that sounds vaguely disparaging - but I couldn't put this novel down; it's about an elderly Englishman trying to get two children out of France during the German invasion; it was published in 1942 and there's not a word wasted.

@tiredsarah1 I've got to put my cards on the table here and say that I'm not a fan of the book, so am unqualified to judge the tone and content of the film. But the poster is truly awful.

@TheBillaton I always liked him, he stuck to his principles even if it made life uncomfortable for himself. Was really sorry when he suddenly left the series but I guess from the actor’s point of view becoming an award winning director was a better career move!

Today we are celebrating Sergeant John Maitland played by the very talented Sam Miller. Sgt Maitland was firm but fair, he was determined to uphold the rules of PACE. Please share with us your memories of John Maitland.

It is with slightly mixed feelings I can announce that Small Bomb at Dimperley, a book which took me 3 years to write, delicately shaping every clause & simile, agonising over etc etc (insert usual examples of authorial angst here) is NOW AVAILABLE ON KINDLE FOR 99p 👍👍
