Dinosaurs do exist!!!! It’s been a day and I’m still in awe! If you know me, you know I’m not speechless very often, but I have found myself in silent appreciation twice in the last year. Only a couple of people knew about this gobbler as I was not about to share any info that might get him killed. Just like a 200” deer, you have to keep a tight lip to ensure you have the best odds. Yesterday was the day when it all came together on my best bird ever!!! Thank you Lord for the opportunity! 23 lbs 12 oz 2” spurs 59 total inches of beard between 7 beards. For you outdoorsman and women out there battling ticks and the diseases they carry ... r u tired of treating your clothes with permethrin every few days or weeks? I know I am! Alfa Gal Syndrome, Lyme disease, rocky mountain spotted fever, etc. scares me right into permethrin treated clothing. I just ordered ElimiTick clothing (gamehide.com). It's a bit pricey. Look at the bundles for the best deals. These clothes can be washed up to 70 times and still be effective against ticks

After hearing three different gobblers on the roost yesterday, this morning zero. Turkeys have entered the realm of mythical creatures. I have seen 12 deer. 2 of which walk by me at about 20 feet. 😂

Had a great morning hunt, with a strutter gobbling & coming until a lonely hen cut me off! 😬Then had a Jake at 15 yards for literally 20 minutes, sound up for some Jake sounds. Going back out there for evening, try to make it happen. Hope everyone has a great weekend! 🦃

@BessDbess I think so, super skinny pencil beard and very feminine body with very dull colored head.

@Bluetickboy11 Its not that way everywhere, although I hear the same from alot of hunters near me i have always harvested most of our birds after 10. Most turkeys do go silent for periods of time after they have flown down to breed and move around. Be ther when they get done and then back on..

May 1, and I’m not turkey hunting. I used to love it. But ever since they started hitting the ground and going silent, it doesn’t excite me anymore. I’ll probably go a couple times, but not the way I used to. Good luck to everyone.

You can walk Indiana woods your whole life and never notice pawpaws. Then one day you do, and you realize they’ve been everywhere. Often in low shade and along river bottoms. Always in wet ground. You’ll notice long leaves that look almost too tropical for Indiana. The fruit shows up late. August into September. Soft enough to bruise in your hand. Sweet, heavy, custard-like. Something like banana , mango, melon, but not really any of those. Pawpaws are strange trees. They often spread by cloning underground, so what looks like a small grove can be the same tree repeating itself. Often the same root and same fruit. Same quiet patch of woods feeding itself year after year. Indigenous communities knew them. Early settlers used them. But pawpaws never became grocery-store fruit because they don’t cooperate with modern life. They ripen fast and rot even faster. They don’t ship clean. Most of Indiana’s native fruit never leaves the ground. This one made it into a bottle. @UplandBrewCo took Indiana pawpaws and put them into a barrel-aged sour ale. That window is easy to miss. Most people do. Pretty cool thing to hold in your hand.

@EverestToday You do realize it means for that body to now be uncovered it was once warm enough in the past to come to rest in that location and then turned cold for it to be covered by ice?

The Khumbu Glacier has revealed another silent tragedy, a body emerging from ice that once kept its secrets buried for years, pictured this season 2026. What was frozen in place is now being exposed as temperatures rise across the Himalaya, turning Everest into one of the clearest frontlines of climate change. This season, the warning signs continue higher up in the Khumbu Icefall, where massive unstable serac blocks have delayed route opening and increased danger for climbers and Sherpas. On Everest, the past is resurfacing, and the future is becoming more uncertain.

This HUGE ancient block of red granite at Ollantaytambo is so large, they never bothered to move it, they just built the town around it. But the Bronze Age Inca were lifting these up mountains with no issue? If this work matters to you support it with a like/comment/repost
