Always great to be back on @Timcast. This Cultural War episode will be out this Sunday on YouTube, 1.5 hours of conversation about my personal stories of living under Mao’s communism.

I arrived in the USA two weeks ago as a refugee. We had to give up everything we worked for our entire lives in order to grasp this opportunity. We are gratefu to be herel, but also have nothing, so we know how it feels to have to start again. I will be sharing our wishlist soon, as requested by so many who want to help. Once we are on our feet again and able to, we will also help everyone we can - whether American, South African or other refugees / needy 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Ok, so apparently there is outrage over the South African refugee wishlists from some American people contacting their friends still in South Africa and here saying this is going too far. What do you all think 🤔? Should we rather stop to help others or continue? If you feel we over reached and didn't do it properly in any way please let me know. We'll fix it. We realize that y'all want to help and want to gift and have even told us what to put on rhe list and even said that we must start wishlists. I am a bit confused 😕. Bless everyone who is helping so much and reaching out and loving my people.

@viking_boer Americans are sharing generously because they want to, free will! It gives us great joy to welcome new arrivals that way. Ignore the nay sayers!

Just finished two weeks as an ex-Muslim and finally ripped the hijab. My parents and the whole mosque are already blowing up my phone with calls trying to drag me back. I'm first in my bloodline to escape this mental prison. I’m free now and never going back. #exmuslim

@BeaWella2 Yes I have seen some of those videos on YouTube where the mass off a small star expands to normal size in an instant with so much energy that it hurls the person clear across the room. Nighmare fuel 😳 and then you sleep peacefully

Ive had my first night's sleep in my new city Charlotte. Today me and the family are going exploring. Seems like there is a wallmart about 2km or roughly 1,5mi from us. Good walking exercise. Someone needs to shave after 4 days 😳. My Only complaint, the mattress. Yikes.

What a long day, but we’re one step closer! Only 4 days left until my wife and I finally come home. We’re so excited to assimilate, contribute, and become proud Americans. The kindness and warmth you’ve all shown us has been overwhelming — it truly melts our hearts. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Blessings and love to every one of you. Goodnight ❤️

South African minorities are resilliant hardworking people. For many the USA generous Refugee offer was a last resort. Many have not been able to find work due to Employment rules. Many do not have the resources to even start something small for themselves. Many had to take loans to travel to interviews often having to fly and book accommodations to attend USCIS interviews and medicals. Many have not felt safe for years, not had a decent nights rest for years, fearing for their safety. Many do not have the strenght or resources to carry on after the recent ineligibility letters. I speak daily to fathers and mothers and families that are broken, lost and cannot see a way forward. Please @POTUS @realDonaldTrump can you find it in your heart to have a review of these batch denials? #faithismycompass #courageismyfuel #purposeismypath

@BeaWella2 You are incredibly kind, thank you. God blessed us with enough so we could pay our way ourselves. We see you supporting those not as fortunate as us, and we thank God for our kind American family. God bless you. We are also paying it forward, as is the American way.

Today, 3 months ago, on 23 April 2026. We leave the hotel in Newark, say good bye to our amazing IOL host, and board the plane to Denver, then a smaller plane to Amarillo, Texas! My poor son, stuck on the highway due to an accident, eventually finds an alternative route and finally reaches us. An hour later, we viewed the only house up for lease in Fritch. My son had to do some fancy footwork to get this appointment kept, because our flight was delayed in South Africa and this had a domino effect. Thus, our life started in America. Bone tired, stressed, but also relieved. We knew it would not be easy. We were already facing a mountain of obstacles, but we also knew God's got our back. Looking back, it was not easy. But I can attest that it's true what they say. Everything is possible in America. Three months in, we are contributing members of society. We found a church, we found a job, we have our SS, work permits and our Texas drivers licenses. Our pups are home, our South African house is sold. Thank you Lord, for choosing this path for us. For keeping and protecting us. Thank you @POTUS for saving us from a bleak and uncertain future in South Africa. And finally, thank you to every American who didn't roll their eyes and said "here comes another refugee", but instead embraced us, welcomed us. Your support, advice and encouragement made it easier to adjust and settle in. Just thank you so, so, much! God bless America 🇺🇲

"Our sweet grandson, AJ, is only seven years old, and our family is living through an unimaginable nightmare. What began as an ear infection quickly became a life-threatening medical emergency. The infection led to a diabetic episode and then developed into Sepsis spreading to his brain and causing dangerous swelling. Doctors had to place drains to relieve the pressure on his brain. During this heartbreaking ordeal, AJ suffered a stroke on his right side, and his medical team @ Childrens Vanderbilt believes it may have been caused by a blood clot found behind his ear. This is only day three of his fight, and while we are praying for healing every step of the way, we know this will be a long journey filled with medical care, rehabilitation, and therapy."

I’ve caught myself saying the same thing almost every day… and I’m pretty sure I’m driving my wife crazy. 🤣 “I just want to go. I want to start our new life in America!” It’s a strange feeling to long for a place you’ve never been, but that’s exactly what’s in our hearts. We’re still waiting for that approval letter, and while we trust in God’s timing, the waiting is hard. Some days are harder than others. We pray, we stand firm in our faith, and we remind each other that God has never failed us and He never will. But if I’m being completely honest… we’re ready. We’d happily wake up in America tomorrow morning. 😄🇺🇸 We know starting over won’t be easy. We’ll be building a new life from the ground up, and we’re okay with that. Life has already taken us through really difficult seasons that tested us in every possible way. Those seasons didn’t make us bitter, they forged and refined us. They taught us to trust God wholeheartedly, to love each other no matter what, and to never give up when life gets tough. We’re not looking for an easy life. We’re praying for the opportunity to build one. A place where our daughter can dream freely. A place where hard work is valued. A place where we can put down roots, serve our community, and give back to the country that has opened a door for families like ours. So we’ll keep waiting. We’ll keep trusting. And when that approval finally comes, we’ll praise God just as we have through every day of the waiting. Until then… Our hearts are already on their way home. 🙏🏼🇺🇸❤️
