@CollinRugg L£thal injection is being merciful. They should cvt little parts of his body every day for at least 3 months so he leaves this world slowly.

BREAKING: FedEx driver who pleaded guilty to kidnapping and murdering 7-year-old Athena Strand, has been sentenced to death.
Tanner Horner snatched Athena while he was delivering a Barbie doll to her home in Paradise, Texas.
At one point during the trial, jurors broke down in tears while hearing audio of Horner killing Athena after he told her to take off her shirt and said she was "really pretty."
Athena repeatedly asked for her mother before she was killed.
"Horner is then heard asking Athena to remove her shirt, and there are several moments when she says "no" and asks for her mom. That was followed by repeated sounds of crying, screaming and banging," NBC reported last month.
Following three hours of deliberation today, Horner was sentenced to death by lethal injection.

@RepDeborahRoss We need to fire 70% of the administrative level.
The Department of Public Instruction does not need a building occupying an entire city block:

I am standing in full solidarity with the thousands of NC teachers marching for fair pay and proper school funding.
Some facts:
- NC is 50th in public school funding
- NC is 46th in teacher pay
- Wake County faces $16M in cuts this year
Today, our educators are putting everything on the line to ensure every student gets the resources they deserve.

@nckhui Woof. Not a good look to be tied to BLM scam. Wait…

@ErinforNC Can we also separate the kids into A/B classes so those that are there to excel and learn aren’t stifled by a few that garner all the attention?

Today a left-wing political group that uses children and teachers as pawns to promote all kinds of left-wing ideologies has forced the canceling of schools across the state in order to rally in Raleigh to fundraise for their organization.
Even though I know many parents are frustrated with the canceling of schools today (rightfully so), I urge those attending today’s rally to leave the unnecessary political jargon at home and come in the spirit of constructive free speech and help us deliver more competitive pay for teachers in NC, higher performing schools, and increases in student achievement.
I urge everyone to support my bill and the passed House budget that raises overall teacher pay by an average of 8.7% and starting teacher pay to #1 in the southeast.

Good morning. School cancellations hurt families, no argument there, but being annoyed by "Kids over Corporations" and teacher actions while ignoring the bigger picture on NC education funding misses the mark.
NC teachers rank near the bottom nationally (around 43rd to 46th in pay). The Education Lottery was sold as a big boost for schools, yet only about 16% of revenue went to education last year (down from 23%), with most money going to prizes.
Also, let's not forget North Carolina's statewide teacher attrition rate sits at 10.11% this year. That means over 9,100 teachers left their full time positions, which is a rate that is higher than the national average and well above pre-pandemic levels. This high turnover creates major problems. For instance, it disrupts classrooms, hurts student learning (especially when new teachers are less experienced), costs districts millions in recruitment and training, and adds even more stress to the teachers who stay. It is a clear sign that chronic underfunding and low pay are taking a real toll and needs to be addressed and not ignored like it has been for so many years
Total state K-12 funding is billions more, but per pupil effort and teacher compensation have lagged for years despite strong economic growth. Teachers and parents are both frustrated. Using kids as political props goes both ways, which can be seen by the statement "...while MY kid sits at home BECAUSE YOU CANCELLED SCHOOL and I burn vacation days I was SAVING FOR HIM!!!"
Real solutions require honest budget priorities, not just chants or one day cancellations. But when schools have been underfunded for decades and people(Teachers) have no other means, teachers feel they have no other choice because their voices are not being heard or are being ignored.
I stand with all / North Carolina teachers. NC state needs to stop ignoring these major issues and finally address the chronic problems in the school system

My family and I watched the 60 Minutes interview with Donald Trump and Norah O’Donnell last night, and we were shocked. Seeing a president speak to a woman journalist with that level of contempt — and a clear allergy to facts — is disturbing, though at this point not unexpected given his pattern of behavior.
But that is the problem. Because when that level of disrespect from the highest office in the country repeats itself, it starts to trickle down into our culture and define what power looks like, shaping how boys and plenty of men see women and girls and what they come to accept as normal behavior.
