So the logic is to get revenge on Green voters who are pro-open borders I’m from Shoreham-by-Sea, abt 15 mins from Brighton, and I wouldn’t be surprised if my home constituency swings Green in 2029 I don’t like the idea of ‘punishing’ people I grew up with for how they vote tbh

In the middle of everyone being faux outraged about Reform’s announcement about not putting migrant detention centres in Reform-voting areas, just a quick point to say that both Labour and the Conservatives have prioritised their constituencies for investment when in office, to reward their voters and attempt to retain their votes. Reform are just being more explicit (which you could argue is better for democracy) and forcing people to realise that voting still has consequences. It also forces the Greens to defend the huge numbers of dangerous young men they seem content to let into the country. That’s a much greater breaking of norms than Reform saying they would do what other parties would do quietly.

@JACKGUYANDERTON "If only the Conservative Party realised this when people like Simon were in government." Oh but they did, that's why we're swamped with illegals.

Many people crowing that Reform’s latest policy announcement is “illegal”. An elected government with a parliamentary majority can do what it likes. If only the Conservative Party realised this when people like Simon were in government. Weak and unwilling people.
Simon Clarke@SirSimonClarke

@ActualJC No. Read my tweet. I am saying that using their placement as an act of politicised collective punishment is illogical and very likely illegal. So nobody will be detained and millions will be wasted in court.

Reform's policy is to only send illegals to Green Party constituencies. So, if, like Brexit, we see almost a 50/50 split, Reform is okay with almost half of a constituency being innocently vulnerable to illegal rapists. We are on the side of good, NOT evil, meaning we love our enemies and do all we can to help native Brits, politics aside. No green party voter deserves to be targeted by illegals. Reform is absolutely insane to say that certain areas of Britain should be directly targeted with potential predators, fighting-aged males, and rapists. Once again, just another reason to vote @RestoreBritain_. Shame on you @ZiaYusufUK

I disagree. People should have to live with the consequences of their ideologies. Otherwise how do they measure the consequences of their ideologies? Said as someone who is no fan of Farage or the political Ponzi scheme which he heads up.
Carl Benjamin 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿@Sargon_of_Akkad

Terrible, vindictive, ideological politics. Not a responsible steward of the land, but instead a partisan attack on political opponents because a percentage of the constitutency voted the wrong way. Atrocious.

Utterly pointless stupid policy. Why is having an illegal migrant deportation facility in one’s area a bad thing? Is Reform Yookay implying that the illegals will be free to roam around and put locals in danger? Why intentionally place them in areas where protests and roadblocks at both the street and parliamentary level are more likely? Is owning the libs really a priority right now? If anything, it makes more sense to place them in the most patriotic areas of the country. Create jobs, give local people the opportunity to play a part in cleaning up their town and restoring order and safety in Britain, and ensure that any attempts at sabotage are swiftly and forcefully shut down. Pure slop.
Nigel Farage MP@Nigel_Farage

If you vote Reform you will not have an illegal migrant deportation facility in your area. We will hold migrants awaiting deportation in constituencies that vote Green instead. You get what you vote for.

Reform UK has announced this with all the confidence of a flagship policy, but its implications are monstrous. And I do not believe I am overstating that. The goal of British patriots is to save our people. That includes the British men and women who will vote for the Green Party. They are just as much our people as those who vote for Reform or Restore. Whether Green voters are motivated by ignorance or spite, no justification can be made for inflicting foreign rapists, criminals and murderers on their constituencies (which would be made up of voters of every persuasion, and not merely Greens). We know how dangerous these men are. The Green Party chooses not to know. The irony is that for all the Greens’ talk of ‘division’, we have more care for their safety than they would ever reciprocate towards us; as evidenced by Zack Polanski’s foul view that Britain will need to create a society that excludes us. It is our moral duty to save the British people of the Green Party from themselves, every bit as much as it is to save the communities that have already been made to suffer from the injustice and crimes of uniparty misrule. This policy may feel cathartic to some, but it would be an evil of our own to inflict foreign predators on communities that have been left unscarred by them thus far. Our victory is not in persecuting misguided voters. It must be in restoring England and Britain to safety and tranquillity, and ensuring that the elites who ruined it are finally held to account. We must not lose our own souls in this quest to save Britain, or else our triumph will be equally soulless.
GB Politics@GBPolitcs

🚨NEW: Reform UK says putting migrant detention centres in Green-controlled areas is "democratic" due to Zack Polanksi "openly advocating for open borders" Zack Polanski and the Green party are yet to speak out on this new policy

@GeorgeTrefgarne It probably won't happen, but it's a clear message to voters and has exposed a lot of upper middle class types who have been happy to foist these foreign criminals on the working classes.

I’ve seen a number of midwit commentators say how based this is. It isn’t based. Greens could win a seat with as little as 20% of the vote at the next election and you’re going to punish the other 80% as a result. That isn’t how you treat your countrymen. I much prefer the policy of putting the migrants in tents on an offshore island where no Brit has to go near them. By the way this Reform policy won’t last the first set of riots it inevitably creates. It’s a total stunt and the worst kind of politics.

I’ve always been 100% behind Free Speech. You can say whatever you like about anything - that’s *your* right. If you’ve said something particularly vile or stupid, I can express that - it’s *my* right. It’s also my right to block you. I’m not trying to prevent you from speaking, I’m removing myself from the convo & from future situations where I might encounter your voice again - that’s my choice *and* my right. You are free to carry on speaking, I just won’t be listening 🤷🏻‍♀️ All of this👆🏻that’s Free Speech - none of it contradicts the principle of free speech.

This is the other bonkers thing about Reform's policy. If you want to be sure not to have a migrant detention centre close to your area the only way to be 100% certain to avoid one is to make sure you don't vote Reform.
Louie French MP@louie_french

So if Greenwich Council went green, which is highly possible, the likes of Bexley, Eltham and Chislehurst would be punished by Reform with a deportation centre on our doorsteps. Even more reason to Vote Conservative if you live in South East London🌳

Err...what? Wasn't the policy that the detention centres would go where people voted Green (& thus favoured letting the migrants in)? Now it's become also that you get one if you voted for a Labour or Tory MP as well? Why did they suddenly back down from just hitting the Greens?

Detention centres for illegal migrants should be located as far away as possible from law abiding British citizens. The central point, however, is not where these centres are built, but that they are built and all illegal migrants are detained and deported. Serious, principled, politics.
