The entrance to the Brooklyn Bridge should be one of the most majestic places in NYC. Instead, it’s a chaotic mess designed to move cars. This plan is a good first step. But let’s finish the job and reimagine this space for the 10 million pedestrians and cyclists who actually use it every year.

Looks like Open Plans isn't very "open" at all. They want the want the streets blocked up with unused bikelanes, dividers, planters, rat sheds, etc.

Another Tax on working ppl you reclassify as “rich” and business is most certainly down. I’ve never seen this many “retail for lease” signs all over manhattan.
In major corridors flagships business locations are vacant. Lowest private sector job growth since Covid… fewest entry level job openings since the great recession… Gas prices at record highs, insurance at record highs…
it’s a success for you and your millionaire buddies. For working ppl it’s another trap. Oh yeah , all that and the MTA still is subpar :/

More space for🚶♂️ Better connections for🚴♂️ We’re upgrading bike connections and pedestrian space from Lower Manhattan to Union Square. Improvements include a continuous two-way protected bike lane, expanded sidewalks, and safer street crossings.

New Yorkers can’t afford another tax. Not property, not income, not a death tax, not even charging people more to park on their own streets.
This isn’t a revenue problem; it’s a spending problem.
