@samschil Wow-If this is the curve near CC & Sunningdale Blvd, I sure hope they were able to get off main roads like Country Club and instead meander through the Drake Landing area to the Raceway trailhead. I cringe thinking of how they made it from the Speedway B&O to where you saw them.

Just saw two kids on bikes trying to cross Country Club just south of where cars fly around the blind curve at 20mph.
I stopped, to help them cross, and they asked me how to get to the B&O Trail. They said they had come from "the Indy 500".

Biked to @borageeats on the B&O but @googlemaps doesn’t know about the Michigan bike lane or the trail after it crosses Eagle Creek Greenway. Anyone have bandwidth to get that updated? @IndyDPW @IndyParksandRec

Was just behind an @IndyDPW Silverado inside Eagle Creek Park driving erratically (over the middle line, speeding, no turn signals) — likely on their phone.
Love that for us in our city parks. I saw no less than 10 bicyclists and a handful of runners as I drove through.

The drastic rise in vehicle size and weight is a true safety problem for vulnerable road users. However their use of deceptive graphics like this harms their credibility. It’s lazy and counterproductive.

@fietsprofessor @RangeRover I read a book a few years ago about the effective display of visual information by @EdwardTufte. I'm sure this would make it to the second edition as an example of how not to tell a story with pictures..

@WilliamHazen7 Great point! I spent much of last week in Chicago and had an absolute blast getting around town using their Divvy bikeshare. Many docking stations there are positioned just like your photo - effectively daylighting the ped crossings while leaving their sidewalks open.
