@hart_led Trust the process they say. Well, this certainly is a very beautiful piece! The colors are *perfection* and your lines are silky smooth. You definitely captured a mood with this one, I love this!
As you can hear in this full recording, the Wilhelm scream guy was doing a bad job until the recordist told him to do it better, resulting in the iconic sound effect.
So everyone, give your supervisor a li'l kiss on the cheek this Friday.
@dickij10@beforesmag Definitely looks like the did 2d or still renders of blood effects and warped them on, so my guess is the green grid is purely for the real to showcase how well the 2d warp is tracking.
@beforesmag Fascinating podcast about the vfx in 'Ripley' thank you!
Do you know what that green grid is in the 'making of'? It's deformed in some areas but not in others, what's it for?

@ArtOfPilgrim I might be bias after 20 y of blender but I really enjoy the UX of blender UI compared to after effects and davinci resolve e.g. A lot of things are easiely closable/scrollable/isolateable. Simple things like just holding your mouse and dragging through options you want to close.
Something I think about a bit: all those software tools or pieces of code that are lost in time when VFX studios go bust, get bought, or even just make a tool EOL. So many things out there in history...forgotten.
We need a VFX software tool repository...
@CDisillusion Wow that hurts my brain. I was just talking to someone about not staring in the greenscreens direction too long lest the world becomes magenta
The perils of using a purple temporary background under your greenscreen shot... PHANTOM GREEN SPILL
