Thrilled to share a major part of my PhD work in our latest preprint!! This would not have been possible without a massive amount of help from everyone in the Bilbo Lab, especially @en_dang_ered and @staci_bilbo! Enjoy and we are looking forward to hearing any feedback! 🧠🔬

Check out our pre-print!
No more "activated microglia" please😆🤪.
I mean it.
And no more "M1/M2" nonsense either☠☠☠.

Thank you so much @jedziabis! So happy to share this review with the world :) In it, we synthesized lots of literature looking at the immune regulation of social behaviors in both development and disease. With a special focus on diverse species! 🦎🐀🧍🐟

Just read this cool paper from Snyder-Mackler et al., showing how social hierarchies (and inequality) in monkeys can influence immune function. Not only at baseline but also in response to an immune challenge (LPS). Check it out!

My first preprint is up! We tested some of the main predictions of the Dynamic Framework of mind wandering, which, while compelling, didn't pan out here. We need to either inject more nuance into our theories, or seriously reconsider the ways we probe for "dynamic thought."

@staci_bilbo @BenDevlin18 Maybe everyone who is using this will be well versed in RNA-seq terminology, but I had to look up some of the terms and axes that weren't well defined. Small point! This is such an amazing resource and I loved looking through it! Thank you very much.
