I tend to buy the worst condition cartridges I can find. I'll generally do some minor cleaning but don't usually replace labels. This copy of Cruis'n World for N64 was the exception though. Had to resort to baking soda to get the permanent marker out of those pores. #RetroGaming

Bought an iMac G3 a couple years ago that's been collecting dust. Finally getting around to swapping the HDD for an SSD and installing MacOS 9. My youngest (4 years old) is pretty excited to check out classic games. #RetroComputing

Today's a tough day for my wife and me. We're heading to the funeral home today to pick up baby William's ashes on what is also our daughter Chloe's birthday, who we lost 2 years ago. I've been trying to fight depression all this week by making 'controversial' gaming posts, and while it was for sure entertaining, you can't run from depression. I appreciate everyone who's engaged with my posts because it helps take my mind off losing both of my kids. I also appreciate those of you who continue to reach out and make sure I'm ok.🫶

What's the best classic Castlevania?

@brockpierson I still remember like it was yesterday. Took me about a month to download a single movie over my 56k modem.

We really struggled man. 1-3 hours for a single 5MB song download.

@PixelCNinja The one for Indiana Jones' Greatest Adventures (SNES) is my favorite cause it uses the sound bite of Sean Connery from Last Crusade saying "I've lost him".

What's the best continue screen you have ever seen?

Dink Smallwood doesn't get enough love. It has its own unique character and humor that I haven't seen replicated anywhere else. Gameplay is really solid too. To my knowledge no one has tried porting this to Sega Dreamcast yet. Maybe one day...

I like it but it's definitely a different animal than what I'm use to with the 6502 and Z80 processors.

The TMS9900 is a pretty interesting CPU. It's 16-bit and can address 64k but its address bus is only 15-bit because its access is word-based (2 bytes at a time). This requires data and instructions to be aligned to even addresses.
