It seems to be November outside

A couple of years ago I burnt out. Hard. I didn’t see it coming to be honest with you. This Job can absorb you. You get so wound up in the adrenaline & pace of calls you forget to switch off & importantly rest. This is your reminder, to take a break and look after you. 👀💯☀️🚨

Again I’ll also point out, I’m not against HE in policing, not at all. It’s just wrongly placed in the policing journey.

There has been much talk of police legitimacy and public confidence. We work hard to maintain this, we work hard to do the job we signed up to do, for the public. We need to be allowed to dedicate our time to that, not this. Clearly I’ll point out that these are only my views.

So year 2 of #PCDA begins. It’s no secret that I’m a critic of #PEQF and the whole insistence on police officers completing a degree or diploma in their first years of a huge new career, and it’s safe to say that the first days of year 2 have not changed my view on it’s value
