asking people to read ai-generated text is offensive. this is not because ai text is intrinsically bad. rather, the author has not paid a cost to write the text himself. this cost is a credible signal he finds its communication important. so: not paying that cost is telling

I got an email from a company earlier today (rejection of course). And just as a joke (cuz I didn't figure anyone would monitor the email), I responded something like, "yeah you don't want an old guy with a quarter century of software engineering experience!" Within like 5 minutes, I got an email back saying that they are not allowed to consider my age, my rejection was because the [system] (they didn't say whether it was ATS or AI) stated that I was basically an intern level candidate. (keep in mind, the last 13 years of my career has been me working for myself and running business)!

not sure if its because my mom just died from lung cancer but theres a lot of people smoking cigs on my tl and I am not finna jump in your comments but I just want you to know that smoking cigs was her only regret in life & her death was the most painful thing I have ever witnesses with hero doses of opiates not even touching the pain.... just FYI.... Because I did not know dying from cancer was that painful but it was the most brutal thing I have ever witnessed and I grew up in a ski town and have literally seen bone protruding through skin.... still not even close to as painful as what my mom went through when the metastatic cancer got to her spine and literally disintegrating the bone to the point where she went crazy from high calcium. just thought you should know!
