@Steezehuman …you should only care about yourself and your loved ones. Forget the rest and especially what they think.

If you’ve moved to NYC over the last 5-10 years, you have no idea how awesome this place used to be, especially the nightlife.

Over the years, @KentuckyMBB has never had a roster player from Hawaii, New Mexico, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, Nebraska, South Carolina, Delaware, Vermont, Rhode Island or Maine? Quebec has sent 2 players to UK. Both played for Tubby Smith. Can you name them?

@AlexHormozi Spent 20 years building an identity around my title, salary, the whole thing. Lost myself in it. Stripping that back has been the hardest and best thing I've done.

@thedankoe Gave that intensity to corporate for 15 years. Always on, always performing. It nearly broke me. Now that intensity is on me — mentally, physically — and on my family. That's the shift.

The greatest trait you can acquire is to work with tremendous intensity on things that matter to you, and more importantly, be strangely unbothered when those things don't work out.

@globeandmail Any radicalization obviously goes too far. This is happening for both men and women while we should all be meeting in the middle 🫂

to avoid burnout at work use the 30-30 rule: after 30 minutes of work, quit your job and disappear into the mountains for 30 years.

@thejustinwelsh The feeling stupid part is the whole game. I spent 20 years thinking my basketball career was a failure because it ended early. Turns out it was just the first chapter. The decade of showing up started after I stopped mourning the old dream.

If you can spend a decade showing up, feeling stupid, getting feedback, trying again, feeling stupid again, and eventually getting better, you'll likely be in the top 1% of worldwide earners. The path is always the same, but few people will actually walk it.

Spent years running comms for a major brands. PR, crises, comms, branding — all of it. Always on. I thought that was the deal. Burnout taught me otherwise. The pro basketball grieving is over. Now I find joy coaching the next generation and building something of my own as I await the next steps on the corporate side. Sometimes the best chapter starts after the one you thought would last forever.

In 2002 I was a scholarship athlete at Kentucky. D1 basketball. The dream was NBA, maybe Euro leagues. By 2006 my back had other plans. Transferred to Northwestern, played one year, graduated, walked away. 20 years to make peace with that. Now I watch my kids do what I couldn't
