There are certain things that are really wonderful about marrying a person near your same age. Namely, getting old at the same time. For example, Keith and I both have arthritis in our hands and it’s a tossup who can open any given lid. When I do floor exercises, half the time he has to get me up. And when we go somewhere, we say to each other, come on, old geezer. And laugh every time.

Hear me out… Since we’re having such a hard time finding male candidates without a history of abuse, sexual assault, or rape maybe it’s time we started electing more women.

@BethMooreLPM Isn’t it incredible! I saw a mama with two spotted fawns this week on my walk. The mama came right out into the clearing but the babies just watched from the trees. Mama had taught them well!😊

I don’t get to take a Sunday afternoon nap until after I get home from church and lunch THEN walk an overactive birddog. As miserably hot as it is here, I still love to be out in the trees & to see sights like this. I love these little dudes so much. Look at his velvety horns.

Every now and then when I’m on a walk, my mind on the Lord, I get a sudden flash of something hard to name. It’s more than the joy I often experience. It’s superlative joy. Maybe what the scriptures call exceeding joy. A second’s bliss. I can’t hold onto it but would if I could. It’s just a flash. I’ve given this a lot of thought and I think maybe it’s anticipatory joy. A tiny glimpse in these momentary afflictions of what we will experience in the holy presence. While the feeling doesn’t last, the hope does and my faith is strengthened. I share this because I pray something similar for you who are in Christ. I pray the breeze of the Spirit will soon sweep against the veil just enough for you to sense in your momentary affliction that the everlasting joy you have coming along with all the saints will be so entire, so complete, so thoroughly pervasive, that the pure anticipation of it will strengthen your faith in the One and only one who is worthy to be praised.

@KolekaRangaza @JeremyWingert79 I would not like to judge or accuse anyone of giving up too easily. If someone is being abused I wouldn’t counsel them to hang in there. But it is encouraging to know that there are times when hearts heal, love is rekindled and the last years are the best.😊

Felt vulnerable. ❤️‍🩹 Might delete later. The 4 of us (me, my wife, 9yo, & 7yo) were visiting my parents last weekend. My mom cheerily said they had found my wedding video & wanted to watch it with us. I said "Oh cool, let's do it!" I thought "Oh boy, this could be awkward." +

Trump: I turned off the lights. And we took out, some nights, 25 ships, some nights 15, last 4 or 5 nights we did 25, 22, 21, 26, 18 and 14. Who else would remember those numbers?

In this damning piece, the @WSJ explains how Trump’s war with Iran has become deeply personal: public bravado, private anxiety; tactical strikes, strategic drift; dramatic threats, improvised diplomacy, using insults as a tactic to bring Iranians to the negotiating table and screaming at aids. Constant desire to change subjects. Being angry at allies. Even his threat to destroy Iranian “civilization” was made without prior coordination with his national security team. A series of miscalculations. This is a portrait of a commander driven less by strategy than impulse, optics, and fear of failure. This is very disturbing. wsj.com/politics/natio…

The Franklin Graham Rule is never to be alone in the same room as the truth.
Franklin Graham@Franklin_Graham

I had received some questions about President @realDonaldTrump's recent posts, and here are my thoughts: I do not believe President Trump would knowingly depict himself as Jesus Christ—that would certainly be inappropriate. I’m thankful the President has made it very clear that this was not at all what he thought the AI-generated image was representing—he thought it was a doctor helping someone, and when he learned of the concerns, he immediately removed the post. When I looked at the illustration, I didn’t jump to the same conclusion as some. There were no spiritual references—no halo, there were no crosses, no angels. It was a flag, soldiers, a nurse, fighter planes, eagles, the Statue of Liberty, and I think this is a lot to do about nothing. There is so much ill-intended speculation. I think his enemies are always foaming at the mouth at any possible opportunity to make him look bad. And the illustration from someone else he reposted on Truth Social yesterday, I must say that I like the fact that this is a picture of Jesus whispering in his ear, or at least His hand on his shoulder, guiding him. We all need that—we all need to be listening to Jesus. Again, I think there is an attempt to spin this into something that it isn’t. Remember, President Trump didn’t draw this, he didn’t create it, he reposted it on his social media because he thought it was nice—I would have to agree. I’m not a Catholic, I’m an evangelical, but I appreciate how President Trump has defended religious freedom for people of all faiths, including millions of evangelicals and Catholics in the U.S. and around the world. He is the most pro-Christian, pro-life president in my lifetime, and he doesn’t shy away from it. I would hope that the President and Pope Leo can meet at some point, and that the Pope would have the opportunity to thank the President for his efforts to protect religious liberty for Catholics and people of all faiths.

@Franklin_Graham @realDonaldTrump Search your heart. You know that you are lying and he knew he was depicting himself as Jesus. So does everyone else.I pray for Christians caught in Trump worship. May God open your eyes to true evil and may God allow Trump to acknowledge his sin and come to true humble repentance
