Louise Arbour's resume is a fine one for a Governor General. However, at 79 years old, she's easily the oldest person appointed to the role since Confederation. She's also the third GG in a row (and 4th of the last 5) from Quebec.

In 1999, the population of the US was 270 million. That year, 1.452 billion movie tickets were sold. In 2025, the population was 341 million. Number of movie tickets sold: 769 million. Population grew by 24 percent. Number of tickets sold fell by 61 percent. Dead.

@mattgurney Why can't you just be PM? This is the kind of comms I'd vote for. 🖖💪

@mattgurney What’s your take on social conservatives who claim to love Star Trek while also insisting it’s never been socially progressive or woke? Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations, et al.

"There's one thing that's worse than being uneducated and it's being badly educated. And Mr. Carney is very badly educated on economics." -- Pierre Poilievre says, as water dribbles down his chin

"spending has actually grown well beyond population and inflation recently, effectively reversing the reductions under Kenney. Indeed, Budget 2026 projects a return to real per capita total spending levels that (slightly) exceed the highest year under former NDP Premier Notley."

Naheed Nenshi and the Alberta NDP want to lecture Albertans about deficits? Here’s the truth. They inherited a $1 billion surplus in 2015 — and left nearly $90 billion in debt. Four straight years in the red! We’ve paid down $15 billion in debt and put $32 billion into the Heritage Fund. They spent. We saved. Alberta can’t afford Nenshi and the Alberta NDP near the province’s coffers. 🔗 unitedconservativecaucus.ca/setting-the-re…
