Save our countryside around the Magog Down as well! Conservative and Green Party are the only ones supporting the better bus route that saves it.

If you want to grow Cambridge EWR is not a good approach. The chosen route does not support local plans, predicted passenger numbers are pathetic and the associated housing would just put lots more cars on the road.

He’s ridiculing C2C @MadingleyHill but it hits the mark for CSET @MagogDown too: “I’ve never been convinced that building new roads, even if they’re for vehicles powered by distilled unicorn tears, is hugely environmentally friendly.”

Quality rail can easily capture many commuting trips from car. No need for that 2nd car. People will regularly walk a mile to a rail station, & cycling (to station) can, due to utter reliability, be quick than car for a 3mile trip. Drivers rarely cover true cost of their car trip

There were six railway lines into Cambridge: from Ely, Haverhill, Liverpool Street, Newmarket, Oxford and King’s Cross. Why do the government think that re-opening the one from Oxford will be “transformational” for Cambridge? Why didn't the others already do that?#EastWestRail
