#cambridge Modal shift. St Ives busway = 7.8% which is consistent with bus based solutions. GCP proposal is based on 50%?! At 15% modal shift, 300 buses p/h would be needed in Drummer St. GCP FOI - we haven’t worked that out yet….

I believe that there are some serious gaps in the GCP’s proposals, with an evident lack of ‘modelling’. - No modelling of no. buses in city centre - No modelling of buses on Adams/Grange road - No proposed routes of where buses go after West Cam.

At first light this morning the hares on and skylarks flying over
the farmland on what is about to become the tarmac bus road on Madingley Hill is testimony to this.

Farmland is always described as a 'barren wasteland' which it absolutely is not. Not every species requires hedges and trees (wonderful though they are), some want open spaces. The very open spaces we are gradually filling in.

The hedge in question was a public amenity on public land.
It greatly enhanced the appearance of the streetscape.
The local highway authority said in November of last year that the hedge could stay.
It would be good to know why this position changed.

Walking over the M11 footbridge last night it struck us how many established trees will be felled by @CambsCC to construct a new motorway bridge for their @BonkersBusway crossing this section of road to J13. Including a City #Wildlife site 🌳🪓 #BiodiversityCrisis 🐝
